There is no such thing as a DNA133 board. It's a DNA200 running at 133 watts. DNA200 boards are throttled back to 133 watts when only running 2 cells in series.

Believe it or not, I did know that before I posted the question. Thank you for making me ask 'then why the heck did I ask' the question in the first place? Wasn't thinkin' I guess?....

I'm looking forward to this. As I am new to Evolv, do you (and obviously some of you already have) wait a bit to be sure the firmware upgrade is stable, or just update on availability? Like any software, bugs might not be apparent until in general use. Also, is there an option to roll back to an earlier firmware version should you prefer?
I usually update as soon as I see one available.

There is an option to revert back to old firmware with this update. Click on Tools in Escribe, then apply Service Pack, finally on DNA200 (that's what I'm running) and these options come up (The new one is on top and the older Firmware is under it).

Well with 1.2 it isn't as easy to "go back", an earlier version of EScribe would be required. At least now I don't have to crop out my version number when posting a snip of device monitor.
EDIT: It appears to be quite easy, I was mistaken on above, it can be done using the latest EScribe.

While there is little to no reason to revert to earlier firmware I thought I had a reason but that was not the case.
I thought for a short while that the latest firmware killed the ability to do preheat with Kanthal but the mod was just being stubborn. Preheat with Kanthal still worked.

There was a case for those who downloaded and used this firmware update.

SetupES_2016-05-02_DNA75(1.0.51Beta).exe

It would break some DNA200 after awhile. But this version wasn't ever meant to be released to the public, just beta testers. But someone leaked it out.

I used it for about an hour, Chunkybut broke 2 mods with it.

So I'm assuming that after Monday (8/8) there will be no further updates to escribe or DNA200 firmware. I'm not sure I like what I'm seeing with this new early release (what the heck are "modal" windows?, why would I want device monitor to run outside of escribe?)...

I do like however what I see on the DNA75 with being able to have separate screen configurations between power/temp mode. Is there an escribe version (and/or firmware version) that would give me that on my VT200? I have looked on the evolve forum but they make it extremely difficult to see version progressions. I wish they would have a page that shows all the different versions of software/firmware like a "change log" with links to each version. Maybe they do but I haven't found it...

Thanks

Early Firmware - Evolv DNA Forum

Is that what you are looking for?

I don't know if anybody knows if firmware is going to be allowed or not after the 8th.

Seems the FDA Deeming Reg's (whatever they are?) apply to all, not just Evolv...

Google "Modal Windows":

The modal window is a child window that requires users to interact with it before it can return to operating the parent application, thus preventing the workflow on the application main window. Modal windows are often called "heavy windows" or "modal dialogs" because the window is often used to display a dialog box.

I guess I did see that but didn't notice the "early" version. That being said, is the selection for screen options specific to the DNA75? I know I can choose what I want to see currently but I've seen videos (pbusardo's for one) that offered configurations for temp mode - running & charging as well as wattage mode - running & charging in the screen tab.

I am running the latest version 1.0.42...

Are you talking about this? There was an EScribe test version above the 1.0.42 but this screenshot is from the Early Release EScribe just given out...

Screenshot is DNA200...click on it to enlarge...

Yes! That's It!

So is that version stable? or is it too early to tell yet?

so how does one get the proper battery indicator back on the device
What I do is to remove the batteries or wait until it sleeps (30 minute wait) and when it wakes up I believe it reads the battery voltage and the bar should be corrected. Some have mentioned that soft and hard reboots from EScribe works too.

I have that screen with my current 1.0.42, so it's not a new addition, is it?
