DNA 40 chip in my old DNA 30?

Is this possible? Considering the $200 price tag on every dna 40 device, and the mere $50 on the chip... if it's doable I'd like to try

Yep, just remove the mounting rails from the 40 and the chip dimensions are the same, but the board layout is slightly different(button connections at top instead of side) which may effect your wire routing/cause issues depending on what mod/enclosure you're working with. (ie how tight the tolerances are).

I'm using a cloupor dna 30 clone. I was planning on putting in a dna 30 chip, but with this new 40 out and accessible I think that might be the better option

You can buy a ft enclosure for 20 bucks and toss a 40 in there. My plan soon.

Get better wire guage recommended by evol and maybe a button upgrade.
