Lol.

I know a certain company starting with the letter 'E' that cut out a distributor after discovering that the distributor was selling a abnormal high amount of products to the same client. Interesting thing was that the manufacturer contacted the client to deal directly with him and not the other way around...

Yes, it's all about money! ;)

I'm not real sure where the "money" came into the conversation but some conversation in another thread talking about how certain companies are not taking ownership of problems and redirecting customers back and forth. Keeping the consumer in a never ending loop of no one wanting to take the financial burden of replacing faulty boards. You have to expand the "Read More" Reddit link and read to understand.

Evolv Technology Owners Discussion Thread | Page 40 | E-Cigarette Forum

Or here's the direct link to the reddit post

Fortunate for those that have Yihi products would deal directly with the manufacturer for warranty service and wouldn't be placed in the middle like this.

Got any proof of said thing occurring, and the details of what happened?
You're pretty obviously leaving out a lot of detail, if it even happened.
You also might want to explain why cutting out a distributor indicates a company is in it for money. Doesn't that mean the exact opposite?

Sure I do but it's not for you. Sorry :)

A company exists for profit or it would be called a non-profit organization and I doubt Dimensionengineering grabbed Evolv because of Brandon's or Steve's beautiful eyes.

Anyway, I didn't said it was Evolv, did I?

Have a great day.

Good information..... and from Facebook yesterday:

View attachment 457597

Can you link the Facebook group so we can read up on this?

Can you link to the original post of where you found this photo?
Closer inspection of the photo raises some question to the validity. If you notice the segment that's blocked out doesn't appear to be the same color white / blue as the rest of the display. It' doesn't appear to be the same color as the Memory location setting right next to it or the battery bar. The block also appears to show brush strokes throughout the center when zoomed in closely. Would really like to see the source of this and perhaps speak to the individual that took this picture to gain more information.

Good to see ya again Mike....how's the co-ops and modding going...
Not bad, keeps me busy. Just glad that the products have stabilized. Now it is more modding and less returning. Ahhhhh the joys of bleeding edge tech.

As to the thread topic, cant speak to the J board yet, havent played with one. Whatever board folks like doesnt really matter, buy what pleases you. For all the problems they had, cant help but feel that Evolv did bust open the NI200 market though. And if $50 temp controlled mods become available (who cares who makes them), it is good for all of us. More power to them, bring on the innovation........

I wonder who\where\what the next innovation will be?

Sure I do but it's not for you. Sorry :)

Well I know the incident you're talking about, I just didn't know Evolv took action on it. Didn't think they would, happy they did. The fact that they did is proof that they are looking at a bigger industry picture than just profit like most Chinese companies. Not that that should be in doubt for anyone who has seen the interviews with Brandon.

Ultimately the statement that every vape company doesn't care about the existence of its customers is silly, but especially so for Evolv. And especially if you understand who their customers are. Evolv is near the very top of the industry in customer service. Yihi is low on the list for a variety of reasons.

That is from a closed group Facebook page.... but the poster also said this about the glitch...

"I have to remove battery to reset it then it works fine I have tried all different types of batteries Sony, LG, MXJO all 35 amp and higher batteries."

By comparison the glitch (if one occurs) of the DNA does not lock up the device requiring a reset...it quickly refreshes itself.

I guess it's unfortunate we cant really get more information on it. For all we know it could be a clone or from alibaba or who knows where. If he were on ECF or other forums reporting this I'm sure he would have already been advised to contact his vendor especially since it appears to be a isolated problem to only him as far as I can tell.

He has contacted Yihi already and has not reported back with what Yihi said....I don't question the validity of the picture nor the poster. You can if you like... let me know and I'll PM you with the Group name if you want to look into this further and/or question the validity.

Yes since there is no reason to assume the picture is valid and no other reports of this problem I have been asking for the link. Not saying it isn't valid as there can always be failures, there's just not been a widespread problem with the SXmini M. Not sure why it's necessary to keep the Facebook group name private but if you feel it's necessary please PM me the Facebook Group / individual that posted I would appreciate it.

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to look yet but if there are some display failures on the S class and presuming they are the same failure that would indicate the failure is not necessarily related to temp limiting mode for the Yihi products, as the S class is only a power mode device. Regardless I've not seen widespread reports of any failures for either the S class or M class Sxmini in comparison to the DNA 40. I'm confident in that there are some failures of the SXmini series as to be expected with any electronics, just the fail rate must be extremely low or else we'd be seeing reports all over the forums.

It was a video posted on the SX Mini Brotherhood FB group and it does look authentic in his video. It was purchased in a group buy as he states and he had just got the SXM 8 hours earlier. It happened to him 3x and removing and replacing the batteries returned the screen back to normal.

He obviously has a bad board in his SXM from the get go. Having purchased it in a group buy, I bet it would violate Yihi's selling policy so he may be out of luck.

Thanks for looking into this Jim, I've been out of pocket today so I hadn't had a chance to look into it. I Feel for the guy but yes Yihi has made it very clear about group buys and the warranty being void under those circumstances. Hopefully they'll let him slide. At any rate is not a widespread problem and wish the guy luck.

I think we are talking about two different events...by two different facebook members posting in different facebook pages....but in fairness I'm still checking....I assume nothing but like to verify... like Reagan always said... "trust but verify"

EDIT: Was OK'd for the group ( many just added to the group).... watched the video posted 23 hours ago....( person posting video was in Ohio), different settings shown on the display, a lot of glitching, and etc. The picture I posted was put up on facebook on May 16 from Wisconsin. Names of posters were different also.

Two different events..... sorry.... double post thus the strike thru....
