i have 2 ego-t's that have that loose/cheap feel to them (wiggles just a bit when i touch them). doesn't bother me much, but was wondering if this is the norm, or if there are better quality ones out there. thanks!

Early eGo buttons got stuck. I'm talking about the first batch that came out. Some have more spec space than others. Many like Riva buttons better, but the charge and short protection on the joyetech eGo-c's makes the difference for me.

I've tried tons of different eGo batteries from authentic Joye, locally branded clones, smoktechs, etc. They all had that awful wobbly hard plastic button.

I had an eGo back in the day which had a much nicer button. It was soft rubber and it was solid, it didn't wobble around. I believe it was a kGo clone. Riva egos also have this good button.

I still have, and use, my T-Rex ego batteries. They have strong metal buttons with a blue ring that lights up. I was concerned at first, because they are not main stream, but found them to be one of the most strong and reliable standard ego batteries I own. I looked up the company and they have a patent on it. I mostly use a smok Tech vv Gripper now which has an exceedingly strong button.

Also, you guys notice how the chrome ring around the ego, where the button sits, is a smaller diameter than the rest of the battery? All the eGos with the rubber buttons that I've seen have this chrome ring the same diameter as the rest of the battery. I think it looks a lot nicer, it doesn't look like they hacked the battery together with a bunch of different sized tubing or something.

Plus if you use devices with eGo skirting they won't match the diameter of the top of the ego, the soft rubber button ones do. This allows it to seat better and be more secure on the battery. The eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartos (the huge eGo diameter cartos) will screw down and fit flush with the larger diameter button ring batteries, and be super solid and wobble-free. On all other batteries you really really really have to screw it down tight to stop it from wobbling.

Clearos with eGo skirting give me the same issue, they need to be extra tight to fit solid on most eGo batteries, but with the large diameter button ring ones, they rest on the top of the ring and seat solid without wobble.

I really wish more eGo clones were of this style instead of Joye clones, I can't stand Joyes compared to them.

Hvac,

You got a link for the batteries you're talking about? Sounds very cool, but when I looked for them all the ones looked like regular joye ego Clones with plastic buttons. Thanks!
