Do cartos expire?

Cartomizers last longer than Twinkies in my environment.
Takes me at least a couple hours to suck-down a carto, but a TON less where Twinkies are concerned.

I believe there is an ancient illumination that depicts this in horrific detail - cockroach generals driving through vast catacombs and environs made from the skins of their mortal enemy and knitted/mortared together with their ooey, gooey white centers. I can't be sure but the general's jeep looked to be a rather crude but efficient electrified twinkie still trapped in it's cellophaned prison.
I had the impression that nobody could say for sure that the expire in one or two years. Anyways, I guess I wont keep cartridges that long...
Maybe they can expire technologically, as improvements are made. A plane built by the Wright brothers may not have had a real expiration date either. I think that not too long ago, cartos had way too much resistance, and it proved to be futile. Right now, I have a feeling that cartos are shorter, possibly wider, less resistive, and with a larger centerpost hole.
If the juice has a shelf life then the pre-filled cartos should, actually will (if stored identically) have the same shelf life... but since the cartos don't have an expiration date for all we know they could expire tomorrow .... or last week but definitely less than 2 years.

...another thing; just because they still work, doesn't mean they haven't expired. You can still bite, chew, and swallow expired food...
