I'm sure you will get some more experienced answers on here but I have found that there are definate differences in materials and shapes.

The metalic ones make for a "cooler" vape than the plastic ones. The longer the tip is also seems to make the vapor cool as well. IMO the cooler the vapor, the less flavor comes through and the smoother the throat hit.

For example, I just HAD to get one of those chrome skull drip tips when I saw it. I'm crazy about anything that reminds me of Halloween no matter what time of year it is lol I hardly ever use it tho. As awesome as it looks, the vapor just does not satisfy.

But the black and white marble one made of a plastic, though long, keeps the vapor warm enough for my taste and still looks pretty cool.

I figure since they are generally inexpensive and taste is subjective, trial and error to find just what you like is the way to go. Just like anything else with vaping. :)

Mmmm, well I was curious mainly as I use the acrylic, delrin and stainless and some seem differen that others at different times. BUT.... I get the best flavor when I take the drip tip off and pull right from the end of the carto....LOL.
So that got me thinking maybe I should try some shroties or something. I use mainly Ming tips

Drip tips tend to change the temperature of the vapor more than the flavor, in my experience. Longer tips and metal tips tend to lead to a cooler vape. The vapor has more time to cool in the longer tips and the metal ones tend to pull heat out faster than other materials. If you enjoy tailpiping then you should check out some shorty tips for sure.

Plastic or acrylic tips could melt if some flavors come in contact with those tips.

Some people are able to "taste" plastic or metal tips. Not unlike people who will only drink from glass containers because they can detect a plastic or metal taste from those types of containers. Probably a good reason most restuarants serve liquids in glass containers.

I prefer pyrex mainly because I like the feel of them and I like the look of a glass tip. Glass is considered to be an inert material, which means it will not impart any added "taste" to whatever it contains.

I can't taste the metal in metal tips, but I don't like the feel of them. I do use plastic, acrylic, ceramic, and Tru-Stone tips too.

Longer tips will cool the vapor some, shorter tips will give a warmer vape.

lol, yep. Those things rock. They have them in gold (brass I guess) and copper too. I wanna start a collection with different color gemstones in the eyes to match my APV and juice colors.

I hot glued red jewels in my gold one looked pretty cool. took for ever to get right.

Me I use Pyrex drip tip specially on my RBA for they run hot sometimes and no matter how hot the cover of my tank or dripper gets the Drip Tip still remains cool and comfortable on your lips, and would never affect the flavor nor the temperature of your vapor. The only problem with them is that they are a little bit pricey :(
