I have been changing mine just to find the just right vape for me. I settled on 12 turn 28g kanthal ID 1/16" I have had this one in for almost a week and do plan on changing it unless it breaks.

It's resistance wire that Stat, pdib, xobe and others have been playing with. Have a look at Jacobs. It seems to give a good vape, but is difficult to work with--it keeps it's form and is tough to bend, but once you've got it in a usable shape, it seems well-nigh indestructible. Have a look at the microcoil thread. It starts a bit earlier than that, but there are a couple of pics there.
