I use the Ego now, vapor is okay but wouldn't mind a little more. could definately use more TH. was gonna order the Ego atomizer and Cart to see if that helps any.
Do mods make a fair to good diff if any?

Am happy with battery life of ego and don't really mind refilling carts, just want more TH and little more vapor.

Thanks
John

If you're going to stay at 3.2V with your ego then I would recommend you get some LR cartomizers (I can't stand normal atomizers and cartridges). They just came out on the market and I haven't tried them yet (I only vape at HV), but if they do what they're intended to do then you should have a brand new vaping experience for a relatively low price.

I'll chime in and ditto the LR atty recommendation. I went to 3.7 mods (didn't want to go 5v and have to stack batteries). But when the LR atomizers came out, my eGo became my new best friend again. My mods sit lonely. I think there are 2 reasons other than great vaping experience: the eGo battery charges in 1 1/2 hours and the battery offers consistent vape from first to last (no drop off). Also the TH is excellent and the flavor of the juices shine. I don't go cone-less anymore and definitely don't go without an LR atty.

There is also another option. While the LR atty's will improve on the TH they also have a common problem of burning out quicker. What is the Nic level on the juice you are using, you can try upping that a little or just adding a touch of Everclear, both these should increase your TH and let you use your std atty's or carto's.

What creates more TH and vapor are the e-liquid and power (measured in watts).

E-liquid: Nicotine level has a significant impact on TH. VG tends to increase vapor and, at lower watts, I find that thinner juices are best.

Power: Is a function of voltage and resistance, thus the two types of recommendations you have been receiving. The formula is Watts = Volts X Volts / Ohms.

So a lower ohm atomizer does the same thing as a higher voltage battery. I suggest going in either direction (but not both simultaneously) in baby steps. MortenT's recommendation is a good one: try Ikenvape's (currently out of stock) or IndyVaporShop's 2.0 ohm 510 atty, before diving all the way down to the 1.5 ohm LR attys. Or, as Sojourner implied, a true 3.7V battery (which starts at 4.2V fully charged) will have a noticeable impact over the 3.2-3.4V eGO.

Even mAh has a subtle impact on power. Since batteries start at a higher than their nominal voltage: the higher the mAh, the longer the battery stays at the high end of the range. If you find that the first several puffs on the fully charged eGO battery are sufficiently satisfying, you may want to try the new 900 mAh mega eGO batts.

Hey Don there are some well put suggestions here...
I just want to expand on and possibly bring up an option...

As it was stated the eGo isnt a true 3.7V battery (rather 3.2V) ...a cheap option is a KR8 battery and adapter to use the 510 atty on it..

now here's my question I'm wondering...the new KR8 specific eGo like battery (the elegant)....I'm wondering if that is also a true 3.7V like the standard KR8 batteries...

if so that with an adapter would give you a true 3.7V eGo....

I will however disagree with the 2.0Ω atties from ikenvape...while I like them as a vendor I find those "LR" atties pointless... with them being 2.0Ω and the regular joye atties being 2.2Ω and there being a tolerance of +/- .3Ω (with that almost always erring to the + side)... those "LR" atties are the same as a regular joye atty with the added non bonus of them being SLB made.

Hi all

Although the eGo is not a true 3,7V battery, mine gives out 4,12V fully charged, and lies around 3,7V most of the day
And those 3,7V feels stronger than my penlight mod for TR10440 600mAh 3,7V protected battery´s
What´s most important is that it is almost the same from the first puff to the last.
Regarding the 2ohm atty´s from Ikenvape, they measure 1,8 - 1,9ohm, and there is a big difference from those to the standard 2,3 – 2,4ohm´s from LF.

All the best MortenT

you have to test it under load (with an atomizer connected). for example my prodigy reads 6.5v at the connector, but under load (which is what matters) it is more like 6.1v. Search for Scottbees thread on measuring voltage under load

If you get a mod that uses 18350 batteries... those batteries come off the charger at 4.0-4.2v so, in essence... you will get more vapor and more power for a while, then the batts even out at about 3.7v for the rest of the time you're using them. But like everyone else is saying, LR atomizers make a biiiig difference in vaping experience. I reccomend getting some.

Btw 18350 batts aren't the only ones that do this- I'm just speaking from what I know about mods that take 18350's. Different mods take different batteries.
