Sorry to say I have researched many of these So Called free trials since reading people talk about them.
I have recently heard 1 ad. & Seen 1 ad on tv.
They speak nothing of price.

& Are not upfront.
You have to Be a lawyer to clearly understand the agreements & people fall for it cause its very well known that nobody truly reads the agreements

It's all Dishonest.

I may have mis-worded some of this But hey its facts.
Companies need to be upfront & Honest As do Each of us.

I initially researched a couple of these "free trial" offer e-cigs, and the few I came across were pretty iffy, for instance:

One advertised that it was unique, and had no environmentally hazardous battery, claiming to have a small ceramic disc in the end of the e-cig which, when heated with a lighter, would atomize the solution in the cartridge which didn't seem to come off.

Another offered me a 14-day free trial (starting the day I order it, of course, when I could not expect the package to even arrive within 14 days) and it appeared to be a 510 that, oddly enough, was disposable but somehow could be refilled with something that resembled Zippo's lighter fluid.

Basically, buyer beware. If it costs $200 or more for the e-cig, it's probably a scam.

It was one of these "trials" that resulted in me finding ECF- My mother ordered 1 for my sis but then I found the fine print and she canceled and sent it back, so far no new charges on her card but still being vigilant.

I was not aware of how many different companies are out there doing this until I came here.

Yes, a lot of people have fallen to this ads with the strong and honest desire to quit. At least you were one of the lucky ones that had the common sense to check the fine print. Not to offend anyone who has been victimized by this unscrupulous merchants.

First, I agree that these offers are horrible - however there is a big cost in getting the word out about ecigs. From what I can tell, many of the smaller suppliers here don't spend much on marketing, so they can offer much lower prices and better product than companies spending thousands advertising on the radio or internet. Its just a different strategy.

Think about how many people have been scammed, but then found out about ecigs and had their lives changed for the better?

I do agree that many of these free trial offers have extremely aggressive terms and conditions that are hidden in fine print. The best thing to do is to do in these cases is to do a "chargeback" on the merchant if the terms and conditions are not clear.

This will get these scammers shut down, because a majority of them are not following visa/mastercard rules for merchant disclosures.

They think 20 cartridges is going to last a whole month!? Ouch. So we have 2 or more scams going on here 1 is the strange belief that a cartridge = a pack of 20 cigarettes and the other that you can have 20 carts forced on you for 100 dollars that will run out in about a week instead of a month! They need to go to jail!!!!

Good luck guys, hope no one is trapped by these !"£$%^&*(

Hi All! I'm new here. My name is Julie and I almost fell for the free trial thing. When I first started looking for an ecig I was going to do a free trial but then decided to take advantage of the internet and do some homework. I am sooo glad I did. I eventually found Vapornine and bought from them. I am very happy with my Nebula. Vapornine also turned me onto this forum and I have learned alot from it. Do your homework....read, read, read and watch the videos. Grimmgreen videos were a huge help also. In my opinion you get what you pay for in an ecig. I have a friend that bought a $25 ecig at a flea market and the quality is bad. Today is one month since I have had an "analog".
