Hi everyone!
I hope the spelling police take it easy on me if I goof! ;-)
My husband and I are new to vaping. We received our first kits 3 weeks ago as a gift from one of his sisters. They were 2 different brands. We had some problems with them but realized that vaping was going to really help us either kick tobacco habit, or reduce it considerably. Those 2 kits were from different companies and quite different from each other. By that, we realized that not all e-cigs are alike! I'm glad I found this forum because we have some questions we'll be asking as soon as I get permission. Have a great day!

i found the first ecig i ordered [i still can't work out what model it is....] was horrrrible... but i was sold on the concept, so i ordered a 510 kit, then a few months after a 402 kit, haven't looked back - definitely makes sense to do a bit of research and see what others have found to be good suppliers, which is why this forum is so handy!

We were in the same boat, Ben. My sister-in-law ordered us 2 kits from 2 different suppliers as gifts. We'd never even heard of e-cigs before. Neither of them worked very well and were the 3 piece batteries. We thought the concept was brilliant so we went searching for GOOD ones and came across the cartomizer 2 piece versions. We ordered one of those from a high rated suppliers and loved them! I'm sure glad you, as well as we, didn't give up just because we got poor quality ones to begin with!

well, some things your daddy tells you are good advice forever..like....you don't get anything for free...right? But they know they can get you because a lot of people are so determined to stop analogs....me too...'cept I'm old so I learned other ways...;-)

We paid several hundred dollars for one month of pills to stop smoking...worked for a few weeks...back I went. But NO MORE for me YAY! 4 weeks.

great that u have quit, just keep posting, and we are doing this for Free... but i think most of us who start posting are for good. Hence i actually enjoying it as more people get to know us Vapers who are Ex-Smokers and have a Free Story to tell and share.

Forget those Pills... Those don't works..
I hate the Nicorette Nicotine Inhaler.... that things S_CK

My friend got one of those and it said you have to pay $10 in shipping and then they ship it to you for a 14 day trial and after that you had to pay 150 for the ecig and every month they were going to charge 69 plus 10 in shipping automatically to his credit card. Talk about a scam wow..... i would hate to have our ecigs get such a bad rep from these scammers. All they are looking for is to make money. Its a shame what the world has come too.....

I have to add my 2 cents to this thread because I almost fell for it. Somebody forwarded me a spam email but luckily, I read the fine print carefully and found that NOTHING was free - not even the "Free Trial." Then I got to the part where it said they were going to automatically charge my credit card to the tune of $69 per month for more of their stuff. Good grief!

But I was intrigued by the notion of an eCig and did lots of research and eventually found this forum. Now that I've had good experience with 3 different suppliers I found here, I'm satisfied I'm on the right track.

But I'm now getting 2 or 3 spam emails every day. They are easy to spot because they all have an attractive lady using one of their products and they tout their no risk FREE TRIAL.

I trust that any legit supplier knows better than to send out spam....

When most people think of freebies they think they are getting something for nothing. I think of freebies as a lure or a way to hook a fish. That said the thought of being hooked by a company or vendor on a product in which I have not completed any research, is quite scary.

Taking what I have said previously into account, I am "cheap" and like to get that extra bang for my buck, but have found that everything in this post is correct. I didn't go for freebies. Everything that I have spent top dollar on has been of top quality and the cheap stuff/ free stuff isn't worth its weight in dirt.

Thank god for the ability to lurk ECF and others like it for guidance.

It is embarrasing, but I fell for one of these scams, it was the first add I saw first one I tried. The batteries didnt last long at all, so I needed more of those batteries, not knowing there was somthing better. I odered another kit. They started me on ato shipment of there carts that lasted me about one cig each cart. They were very expensive to. I never got my money back and I regret it very much. I could have gotten so much good stuff with that money instead of that junk.

I just wanted to say 'Thanks' to the author of this thread. While I see that it has since gone far off-topic, I sincerely appreciate the information that is given here, because I know that scams like this always suck tons of people in. Hopefully having more information available will help people avoid having their wallets drained.
