When the E CIg first came out, this is what I checked out on the web, I was so thankful I didn't fall for the free trial stuff. I have heard some really bad stories and how tough it was trying to get out of the monthly charges. I work to hard for my cash
Yep, I got ripped by one of these companies and it wasn't about the fine print. I went by the rules and they just ignored me basically. Ended up paying for the kit and 3 months of carts before it stopped, what a pain in the ***.
I completely agree! When I was looking for my first e-cigarette I was bombarded by the free trial offers. I always read the fine print before entering into anything like that, and so I saw the rip off. The problem is that not everyone takes the time to read the fine print.
I've noticed some bars sell PVs and I have researched the brands I've seen. It seems like the majority of them in my area, Columbus, OH, are extremely over priced and some are outdated, inferrior models. Be very cautious.
I knew from the gate that those free trial ones had to be a scam of some sort, my friend unfortunately didnt listen. He purchased one and before he even recieved the unit his trial period had ended. He did get the unit and liked it but they charged him 150 dollars for it. Then he was recieving 50 cartomizers every month at a cost of another 150 dollars per order they automatically shipped. It took him about 3 months of run around to finally get everything cancelled but he was out 600 dollars in the end. He learned the hard way I guess I felt so bad for him that I bought him a 510 kit and he is now really saving money rather than being screwed. He tried to get his money refunded but he couldnt because when he ordered the free trial offer he did not see the fine print in the lower corner of his shopping cart that gave the company permission to automatically charge him for the refills. Might I add that the fine print was in the opposite side of the checkout button. Making it even less likely for customers to see it.
thanks for the warning-was thinking of getting this for a cig smoker in my house to see if she could break her addiction then work on breaking that hand to mouth addiction too.
If you're going to use a "free" trial", use a one time card...which many credit card companies allow...or a pre-paid one with just enough left on it to cover the initial cost...
