Do PG & VG have Taste?

Greetings,

I have been making DIY for a little over a week. I've made several batches of tabacco as well as fruit flavors. I have noticed with my fruit flavors, that I get this common taste when I first try them. I can't explain the taste, but it is almost like a subtle dirty sock taste that overpowers the flavors. It doesn't matter which fruit flavor it is.

Anyway, I was wondering if the taste is from the VG, PG or the flavors. I got all my flavors from TPA and my VG/PG from Wizard Labs.

I'm hoping that seeping will make the taste go away, or am I just not using enough flavoring in my mix?

PG doesn't have a taste that I can detect. VG has a sweetness to it but no taste that I can detect. Just put a little dab on your finger and taste it won't hurt you.

imo both taste a little sweet. PG has the extra property of tasting like whatever is around it since its good @ absorbing flavors i think.

Dry socks are often associated with cartos, you using them by any chance?

No, it definitely the juice. I have several different clearos. I think it is the flavoring, because I just retried one I made last week and that taste is gone. I think it has to do with letting it seep.

I think it taste like notebook paper. Posted this in another thread today. A few drops of any sweet fruity flavor per 15ml. seems to kill it and make it truly tasteless. ymmv.

vape the PG and VG by themselves. If the off flavor is there, you've found the culprit.
