Do rta coils have max wattages or best wattages?

Hi, I am new to this thread, and I have this question cause I am new to rtas, and I am planning on buying one.

It is the geekvape zeus x, it comes with 2 clapton coils (it doesn't specify the ohms, maybe someone can find the ohms?). I am buying an rta because I want to vape at very high wattage (I am also planning on buying a vaporesso box gen 200 (220w)).

So if anyone could help me with this question, I would be very happy!

Hi and welcome,
Your set up will be output limited by the batteries you elect to use.
The regulated mod doesn't care about the coil resistance.

How long did you smoke and how many per day?
Is there a vape shop local to you?
Where in the wide world of vape are you located?

Cheers

HI, thanks for helping out.

1. If you are talking about cigarettes, I have not smoked any cigarettes. if you are talking about vaping, I have been vaping for like 1.5 years and I had a drag s pod mod for like 2 months.

2. No, I do not.

3. i live in latvia.

4. Thanks, but about the coils I was not asking about the resistance, but I was talking about, will it die faster if I use it at 220 than at 100 ore something? Like do I have to change it faster? And I am using 2 LG IMR18650HG2 3000mAh batteries

The LG HG2s will get you 100-120 watts MAX on a fresh married pair.
Something like the molicel P28A or the Samsung 20S is better suited to vaping close to the "limit" of your device.

Coil life for me depends on the juice I use. Sweet, dark, heavily flavored juices tend to leave more deposits and require more frequent cleaning/rewicking.

Welcome to the world of rebuildables. The mod you mention will display the ohms of the coils. At higher watts like that, you'll be changing cotton more often. I have a zeus X RTA in rotation and it's a fine RTA. The build space is somewhat limited, so you won't get huge coils in there. I've used up to three-core fused clapton coils in it but it seems a bit happier with two-core fused clapton coils with 6 or 7 wraps. I use mine at 50-75 watts without any problems. At 100-120 watts, I don't know if the juice will flow up through the openings fast enough to keep up, but if you start to get dry hits, either slow up or turn the heat down..

Hello! Thanks.

.......n, would the fat rabbit 28mm rda (or rta? Idk) be better/work better at higher watts?

Hey!

None ...
...crawl, walk, run.
Something like the Wotofo Profile RDTA might be a good place to start.
Mesh / coil RDTA or RDA (RDA also squonkable)
Mesh, tools, cotton, coils, BF pin, etc., all included in the box.

The Clapton mesh is my favorite.
Flavor, clouds, hot or cool vapor as I choose.
It will drink juice, lots and lots of juice.

Cheers

The coils in the box with the zeus x rta are fused claptons 3x28/40 ni80 and the resistance of each coil is 0.4ohm so when u use both like u would anyway u get something like 0.18ohm or 0.20ohm just fyi not that the resistance matters if u use regulared mod as others already said.

I love the zeus x and use it daily and i know its personal preference but i agree with others that u cant use very big coils and in high wattages in my opinion more than 90watts because the vapor get very hot and the flavours get ruined.
You also need to be very careful how to position the coils in order for it to work good and nowdays u can get better and easier rtas for a beginner in my opinion.

Hello!

Can I use these mesh coils, or mesh coils at all?

Hey!

I dont know hahah, this will be my first rta/rda so I dont know what im doing.

Personally, I would troll clearance and special offers for a cheap RDA and some medium quality pre-wound exotic coils in a few different resistances.
Audition some different wicking materials and styles using a juice flavor with which you are very familiar.

Mounting a coil is super easy.
Wicking, however...that can often be an art.

Best to practice on NOT your main set up.

Is there a particular reason why you want to vape at 200 w? In general most flavors are going to be demolished at that sort of wattage. Heavily sweetened flavors will caramelize to the coil and then burn. The vape is going to be extremely hot possibly hot enough to make you feel like you burnt your throat and if you don't do everything exactly right you're going to get the dry hit from hell where you're literally inhaling burnt cotton.

That's not to say it can't be done there's people that vape very high wattage but they usually don't start out doing that until they've gotten really excellent building skills. And the usually are going to gravitate towards mods with lipos in them so that they don't have to change out their batteries constantly.

As far as mesh most mesh strands are quite thin the individual strands so they are more likely to literally pop break come apart thus destroying the coil and shorting potentially. With a regulated mod there should be protections built in to keep that from causing a huge problem but most mesh is not rated above 100 Watts as far as I know.

Basically I'm just saying there are coils that can do that. Most standard mesh that I am aware of would not be the best choice. And you really want to have your building down pat because if build isn't absorbing liquid quick enough you're going to give yourself a dry hit which is burnt cotton and unpleasant. And it is possible that it will eat up the coil quicker I mean it's even likely but that might not be a big deal because we're already getting significant lifespan out of our rebuildable coils. There are people that use the same coil for a year I usually go for about 3 months before I change mine out. Though I do consistently change my cotton probably every 3 days and I clean my coils probably once a week

To use mesh u muat get the zeus x mesh rta or how geekvape calls it zeus x 2.
Its a different build deck but the rest is the same tank.
I dont know if u can find it but u can get the zeus x rta that uses coils and u can buy separately the mesh deck to try also mesh if u want.
Mesh versions tho usually use proprietary mesh strips so there us not h u can try.
U defenetly cant vape mesh on the zeus or most rebuildables in very high wattages and u dont need to anyway because mesh produces lots of vapor at lower wattages.
In my opinion mesh and coils are very different in the way they produce flavour and i personally prefer coils but many people like mesh so only if u try both u can be sure which u prefer.

Either way tho i think as a new vaper in rebuildables u have to start somewhere and see how it goes.
