Do you clean 510 and 510-t atties?

I am trying to find a thread about this as surely it has been discussed. I vaped a heavy mint in one of my 510-t atties and now it is mintified forever. Can a 510-tank atty be cleaned? I have since ditched the mint in favor of yummy stuff. I tried a couple things in it and it is very minty.
Also is there a protocol you use when trying out new vapes on your atties other than blowing them out?

Oops I see the thread now. I am not the only one vaping minty vapes.
