Do you ever go back to regular cigs?

Personally - no.

I was wondering how that "stress thing" was going to work out when switching as stress always seemed to be a crutch of sorts for relapsing into smoking or smoking more that usual. Let's just say I've had a share of "major life stress events" - the big ones - since switching and it never came close to considering going back to smoking. Some people do seem to maintain a strong stress=smoking connection after switching, I've just been one of those people who haven't had an issue with it.

I quit for about a year after I started vaping, would smoke an analogue now and then, but quit for the most part. Then I went back to smoking for about a year, then finally quit about 3 years ago. But even after I quit it took me several months to pretty much stop smoking the occasional few smokes with friends. I think my last cigarette was October 2013 at deer camp, that was enough to let me know I was done with smoking for good.

It's a process for some of us, you just have to keep moving in the right direction.

I have been vaping for almost a month, and am still having a pretty tough time quitting the cigarettes. I went from two packs a day down to half a pack, but have crept back up to almost a pack lately due to some serious work stress. Speaking of work, that is really where I seem to have the hardest time! I am the only smoker there, so it's not like others are here tempting me. Taking a break just doesn't feel *right* if I don't have a cigarette in my hand! I know, I need to try harder and learn to adjust, but work is where I have the most stress and it's harder than I thought it would be. :( I usually use juice with 12 mg nicotine, but I am going to crank it up a bit and see if that helps.

Nope. I've got a very stressful job and there have been several times where I was about to lose my mind with stress, but I never once thought about buying cigs or even bumming a cig.

I think what helped was instead of thinking "...man I NEED a cigarette!" I changed it in my head where I think "... man I NEED my Reo or Provari!" The first few times it was weird, but after a while it stuck, and I haven't worried about it since.

I have been vaping for years now, never touched an analog since my first ego purchase. As a matter of fact- I still keep the pack if cigarettes that I bought rught before I went into the shop in my glove box as a reminder of the "life" i will never go back to.
The wuestion i would ask you, as I ask just about every oerson that vapes that runs accriss this probkem is- do you have the right setup?
As in- are you at the right nicotine level(since you mentioned stress esp.) Is your mod doing what you want it to do ( fir dome people its flavor, for others its vapor production, and fir alot of us it's both). The psychological part of smoking is the one that really gets people, tgats why vaping has become si much more successful than patches, gum, etc. The majority of us are attached to that hand to mouth action and feeling a lung hit, and seeibg sone type of smoke/vapor come out.
So to finalize this, i would re-evaluate your nic level as well as your setup(cloud production, flavor strength).
Hope that helps out a bit.

I'll occassionally roll some tobacco, but then I did just start vaping a little over a month ago. Like maybe 1 every few days (vs the 1+ pack/day I was smoking). I'm vaping at ~4-6 mg/mL (Veritas/Lemo Drop), btw. It doesn't feel like a craving, but more ritual, taste, and scent (the rolling). Like I do differentiate between processed cigarettes and rolling tobacco. No desire whatsoever to go back to those nasties.

I've been smoke-free for almost two an a half years. I love vaping and have no desire to ever have a cigarette again. My regular rotation of eliquid is so yummy to me and although I smoked for almost 21 years, I now find the smell of cigarettes to be disgusting (I don't even enjoy tobacco flavored juice). I know that there are a lot of dual users out there, but I'm not looking back.

I think they are disgusting.

For those that have trouble making the complete switch, I went high on my nic to get the confidence that it would work. With that high initial content I only seemed to have the urge to vape once or twice a week so I lowered it pretty quickly.

Having the confidence really helped.

No reason to lie to a buncha strangers, eh?

I've had the occasional cigarette since I started vaping almost 2 years ago (it's about 1.5 years now). When I quit I was smoking 2 packs a day, so really, as long as I don't get back to that level (and I can't really see that ever possibly happening) I can be happy with the changes I've made in my habits/addictions.

In particular, recently, I've been going through some emotional stuff and life kinda has me down-er than usual, so I went out and scooped another pack a few days ago. I've been having the occasional cigarette whilst in my car. Can't lie: It's damn tasty, and I still love the feeling it gives me. I feel mentally guilty, and I know that I'm sort of regressing a year+ of progress, but whatever y'know. Better than killing myself quickly, eh?

I went to vaping because I had not smoked for several years, but still wanted to. The gums, lozenges, etc.
didn't do it for me at all. The ciga-likes were worse than eating boiled cabbage out of a dead raccoon. They
were gross and actually had too much nic for me. I truly missed smoking, the act of it, and of course, the nic.

When having those heavy stress, "NEED SMOKE NOW" moments, nothing soothes it better than a tight
draw device, with a thick tobacco liquid. With the number of alternatives offered by vaping, I see no analogs
in my future. I'm no expert, but I believe if you get it dialed, it's better than smoking could ever be.

As Mark Twain said it's easy to quit smoking i've done it over 100 times..

Yep quitting is easy, staying quit is the hard part. But with this vaping it might just work this time. Sometimes I really want a cig. I keep some high nic tobacco flavor for those times. A authentic cig flavor is hard to find. So far I have found Buck Naked American Blend and Clayton Tobacco flavor to be the closest for me. The other 12 or so I tried had fruity or caramel tones which just did not fill the crave for me. Going to try some other flavors. Grimm Green mentioned one on his youtube vid. I think it was Vaper Joes Tobacco Europe VT3. Maybe from Vaporheads.net? Have to watch the vid again before I order.

I've found the Gold and Silver RY's from ITC Vapes to be sans-sweet, and pretty accurate to what smoke/a cigarette tastes like. In particular, it's like a Camel Turkish Royal.
