sorry, it's dark and from my cell phone :p I have since got a "lone star" cuatro (looks and sounds like a cross between a 12 string and a mandolin) and an ancient auto harp (gotta get it tuned lol).

I do soundtracks now, but I've played for years... rock, goth, psychedelic, classical and now alt. country (very alt!)

nice to see others here play :)

yeah it is. Wow you play a lot of instruments. Nice SG in the back. Sorry im not a violin or mandolin person though.

I played Bass for a while- I was never any good. Now I play Bass on Guitar Hero! I'm getting better.

Thats a step. Ive heard guitar hero helps beginners and even regular guitar players practice.

anyway, nice to see all the responses. Way to go music lovers!!

Son of a Snitch. I had a nice post and accidentally closed the window. Anyways long story short here is my hand made "Flying Squirrel" Bass.

Definately time for a good waxing. This has no stain on it at all. Peruvian Walnut body, Blood-wood inlays and electronics door, and I think .. bah forget what the neck wood is.

A walnut was cross sectioned by a sander and inlayed behind the strings between pickups. Adds to the reason I started calling it the "Flying Squirrel". Har har.

does anybody here play a guitar? electric or an acoustic? i only have two, a sunburst strat (mexican one) with super slinky strings and a mother of pearl pick guard and a takamine G340SC. Ive been playing for about 9 months ans im looking to get a gibson SG or a les paul.

To be honest, I saw ur from Hawaii and saw u played guitar and immediately thought "JACK JOHNSON!!!!".

Just to satisfy my curiousity knowing Hawaii isnt HUGE, (not tiny either) but- you ever run into him playing? Im a huge JJ fan and saw him in his first ever cont US tour....amazing to say the least.....Good thing Im all the way in NC or Id prob stalk him hoping to hear him sitting on the sand somewhere after surfing and strummming away at sunset! :D

Anyway, sorry to get off topic.....:p

My brother gave me an acoustic guitar about 6 years ago...it's gathering dust! I can't get my fingers to work! I think I'm ham fisted or something...or just too damn old! I would love to play, though!

notsoogood, I beg of you please don't say you're to old. Right around Christmas time I mentioned to my DH that I'd like to try and play guitar. (I used to play trumpet, but life and kids got in the way, now I am missing music, don't want to go pro, just sing and play with the family would be so much fun) Anyway, for whatever reason this time that man actually herd what I had to say, and thought it was a cool idea. I'm now a 40'ish mom who is trying to learn on a brand new yamaha acoustic, with a really crappy and uncomfortable strap. (aren't you all jealous lol) I suck big time, but I am figuring it out. (well, kinda) reading music is like riding a bike, kind of weird but a little refresher and I still remembered that stuff. Just have to work on training my brain and fingers to work together.

Oh and when will my fingertips not hurt so much?

Did I mention I can play a damn mean air guitar/drums? I can also break glass with my singing capabilities!:D:D:D

Thank GOD for TALENTED musicians! Ill admit it, I come from a LOOOOooOOoooOng line of artists/musicians but I got shorted the much needed attention span, go figure! ;)

My brother tho, can play the Bass/Bass guitar/Piano/Violin like NO other! My dad plays the drums like hes famous and I just sing in my car with the windows up :D
