Hello,

It seems that so many people do not understand that electronic cigarettes should be used as cigarettes: it means smoke when you need it and put it back in the drawer.

I see so many people who keep smoking all day long, even at office, and I think that they are so stupid to quit an addiction for a new one, what do you think ?

Thank you for your ideas.

well, I guess what I think is that I'm a little insulted.

I'm no longer addicted to nicotine,,,,,,,all my juices are 0mg nic. How about you?

It's good to see that everything is under control, just as my friends say <3

So it means that you all really believe that vapoting (as people who do not want to see the truth) is as healthy as drinking water right ?

Exactly like people were thinking about cigarettes 50 years ago...

wouldn't that depend on the water??????? Not all water is even safe.

going by the puff count on my ecig and and figuring 20 puffs per 100mm cig (what i used to smoke). than i actually vape a half a pack a day less than i used to smoke. not completely accurate but close enough. i know there were times i would smoke 4-5 cigs in an hour(first waking up or at the computer). thats 20 min of smoking at least per hour. no way do i vape for that much, thats for sure.

See, I never smoked more than half a pack a day anyway. Often I'd only smoke a handful of cigs a day, unless I got wrapped up in intense conversation. :p
Even so, I still feel the full extent of the positive effects of vaping over smoking, which just goes to show that no matter how little you smoke, vaping is still far more beneficial.

I've never seen or heard of anyone ever dying from using an ecig.

I have heard of people dying from drinking too much water...

Fatal water intoxication

I watched a TV program on ITV about E-Cigarettes the other night (broadcast in the UK). They would have you believe a man did die from inhaling "oils" from an E-Cig. There was no evidence it was from the E-Cig, and he was a heavy smoker most of his life, but they didn't give the audience much room to doubt it was the E-Cig that did it....Almost insinuated it might be, and left the viewer to make up their own mind (which to the average non vaper cig hater will result in the desired outcome I think)

It probably is safer than drinking water, actually. I'd love to see tests done on that (actually, no. I'll just keep imagining my water is pumped directly from a nearby pure waterfall with absolutely no additives or chemicals to be found......)

I repeat that I am sorry, I just wanted to know if my friends who smoke their ecig all day long (and who call it smoke unlike other people who do not want to see the truth) are normal.

Now I understand that most of the people just cannot use ecig the right way or NEED addictions, so most of them use ecigs as chewing gum, all day long, and this is ok, because it's not m problem, I almost totally quit smoking thanks to ecig because I used my brain from the first day, unlike my friends...

Thank you for your insight it's now clear for me and will tell my friends that they can go on smoking their ecig all day long.

So vaping is smoking? I'd love to see your proof of combustion on that.

Sweetie, you have no idea regarding addiction. I would honestly pay to see you go through the hell I went through kicking my addiction.

If you used your brain from day one, you wouldn't have come here and started insulting us from day one. Just sayin.....

Thank you for your insight it's now clear for me and will tell my friends that they can go on smoking their ecig all day long.

I'd still like to see proof of these so-called friends......

While smoking, people need to have cigarettes. When you're vaping it's much more of a habit rather than an addiction.

I kindly have to disagree. Vaping is an addiction. Unless of course you are vaping nic-free! Then it's a habit. The nicotine is what I crave.

Now the original poster (Amateur) says "I see so many people who keep smoking all day long, even at office, and I think that they are so stupid to quit an addiction for a new one, what do you think ?"

Ummm are they stupid for replacing cigarettes with a healthier alternative? I think not. I want to thank you Amateur for starting a post which reinforced why I quit smoking. So many success stories here. Amateur...you think people are stupid for quitting smoking and starting vaping. "Stupid is as stupid says." Yeah that was meant for the OP.

The problem with your posts in this thread is that you are telling people how they should vape and you are not backing it up with facts. A bunch of us have been here longer than you have, have done a fair bit of research and understand the health risks of vaping quite well. I don't believe you know much about that. If you do, tell us what the maximum people should vape per day is and why it is unhealthy to exceed that.

If you do not do this, then I must assume you do not know enough about the subject to defend your position with facts and that you are telling us your opinions. When I post my opinions about things I typically make that clear to people by including 'in my opinion' ('IMO' works also) so there is no misunderstanding about it that may make me look silly.

OK, so no facts from you to back up your opinions in bold above. All of them are wrong as people here have been trying to explain to you. If you ever want to learn how things really work, just ask.

Vape on.

.... self-editing... not much left to say

I vape. I don't inhale smoke. Last I checked that was known as smoking. Neither do I lie. I gave you a break reading your OP. After four pages of replies... sorry.... that's over.

Edit: Ah, whatever.... amateur, I see your post count is 12 since Sep 2013... just curious... have you checked out "OUTSIDE?" I'm sure there are some folks over there who would love to meet you.

Hello Amateur!

Seems you have a bit of learning to do and a bit more reading to do before making statements of judging others and there "STUPID" addictions. Who cares how much you vape as I can vape all day long (Usually do :) ) as long as it is not having the same effects as smoking regular cigarettes in which you can certainly tell the night before... wow, smoked too much and drank too much last night as I can not breath so good this morning and I smell like a stinking ashtray.

Let people enjoy what little vices we have left in todays society and do not be the E-Cig police and try and judge others so harshly. I do not even criticize people who smoke cigarettes. To each his own and if you like it then it is your call as to what you do and what you do not do. Vaping is very relaxing and quite enjoyable in my humble opinion with all the different flavors out there. Try not to be so judgmental of others and chill. If you want to vape a little bit or all day..... go for it!

Vaping is not an addiction for all of us. Nicotine by itself has been shown to not addict. I vaped none for months, then used it for a month and then went off it again. Now I use it when I feel like it. Some people have a hard time leaving it behind when vaping, but a lot of people don't.

You do know nicotine is not a carcinogen, right? It’s similar to caffeine. You are aware that nicotine is beneficial in staving off Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, correct? You know it is used to treat some other diseases, especially intestinal, no? You do know there are around 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes that do everything from suppress coughing to super-enhancing the addictive nature and speedy delivery of nicotine, yes? Of course you know all about the 67 carcinogens in cigarettes that are not found in egics so we’ll sail on past that bonus trivia question.

Switching one bad habit for another? No. It is becoming clear from an abundance of posts that many vapers quickly lose their tolerance to nicotine, plus eliminate all those chemicals and carcinogens, as time goes on and reduce their nicotine levels in a natural progression. Even some of the ones that swear they never will, lol. The refined ecig nicotine just doesn’t have the addictive grip in vaping that it does in BT’s multibillion dollar chemically-engineered cigarettes.

Vaping allows people to quit what may be a deadly habit for them. What counts with vaping is that people are quitting smoking in droves. You quit your way and other people can quit their way. Nobody should be dissed for how they do it, only applauded. You say you have almost quit. If you vaped more perhaps you would be off cigarettes completely by now.
