not long after grandma went on Chantix she was kicked out of the nursing home for initiating a nude sit-in because they wouldn't allow her to host a weekly senior porn and bingo night; oh and then there's the matter of her molesting old mr. jones across the hall. luckily they dropped the charges for that considering he's been in a coma since 2012 and probably didn't have a clue what was happening at the time.

Like before mentioned Medical Drs are just people with education I don't have, That does not mean that I wont understand I when I read it. When I was a young gal I thought they were these ever smart gods. Now that I am older. There logic is no better than mine. I did get the Chantix prescription. Looked it up on the net and never filled it.

What about a diet pill that alters our colon discharges. If you take the diet drug Alli and you over eat, its likely you will crap on yourself or have .... leakage. lol

On the .... leakage thing- watch your food labels for olestra.
Olestra may cause abdominal cramping and loose stools. Olestra inhibits the absorption of some vitamins and other nutrients. Vitamins A, D, E, and K have been added."

Chantix landed me in the ER with terrifying chest pains. The doctor there told me that he'd been seeing a lot of Chantix patients. He wasn't a fan of the stuff.

Blocking the relevant receptors is a fantastictabulous idea in theory -- it works for alcohol -- but this particular drug scares me. I wouldn't take it again, and I wouldn't recommend it.

That's why I've never taken Chantix myself. I'm well prepared for a zombie apocalypse.

:D
Lol. Another former Chantix user here. Fortunately, the only side effect I experienced was insanely vivid dreams.

I was able to put down the smokes after less than two weeks on Chantix. Unfortunately at the time, my insurance would only pay for one month's worth of Chantix and I wasn't able to buy them outright at the time.

I went to my dr a few weeks ago and pulled out my twist. My dr's from India and a real doll. Right away he says Hookah! We both got a good laugh over it. He was so happy that I had quit smoking and was very interested in vaping. We talked for a good while about it so I was pleased. He gave me breathing function test and I was in the normal range.

Dr's are like stores. If you don't like one, go to another. Old dr's stuck in a time warp, need to get a clue or retire.

Almost forgot: My neighbors both went on Chantex at the same time. They divorced shortly after. I know the husband is back smoking. What a shame.:glare:

My doctor's never asked if I wanted to try it and I never brought it up. Too many nasty side effects

Had I not been so desperate to try (almost) anything to quit smoking, I probably would not have gone on Chantix.

I had tried Zyban a few years prior to that, but all that did was aggravate my insomnia and make me grind my teeth.
