Not to be a slur on law enforcement, they have a terribly difficult and dangerous job. But it has happened, if the LEO does not like your looks, or your ethnicity, or if you are mouthy, or (fill in the blank) you could get shook down harder than a casual traffic stop. It could be very much 'notfun'.

I live in a rural area. In some ways my appearance is considered unconventional. I am a musician, have long hair, and my vehicle often has lots of fragile and expensive gear in it. I don't do anything illegal, immoral or fattening when I am driving, but would always err to the side of less scrutiny if possible.

I make it a point to have it with me when I am out as well, I am proud of it. In a vehicle, I am more discreet about it at stoplights, or places where people can only get a fleeting glimpse. I carry vendor cards, and am usually willing to talk about it more than most people want to listen. But? I have encouraged now 4 smokers to quit (in three months), and they are happy. Stuff like that makes me happy.

I'm a little cautious when I use my omega, but not to the extent that if I feel like taking a vape I won't. As I'm a legal prescription holder for another controversial substance and usually have some in my car I wouldn't want to run into any unnecessary confrontation so I don't flaunt my PV.

The one exception is when I'm out drinking at a bar and the other smokers or anyone else get interested in what I'm doing, then I'll give them the full rundown.

BUZZ PRO ALL DAY IN THE BMW!!! They are both black! So, they match!

Yes, i've been pulled over with a reo mini, vp1, and buzz pro all sitting in my passengers seat. I laid my lunch bag over top of them.

We all know how important it is to have our PVs match our cars right? Sorry...just givin' ya' grief! :p

I can certainly understand wanting to avoid attention from the law...

But the next time I get pulled over for something, I'm going to be puffing on my Chuck when the officer walks up to my window.
If he/she does not know what it is, then it will be yet another opportunity to educate.

...or another reason for the officer to give you a ticket.

I've introduced two security guards (one at the DMV) to the possibilities of vaping.
One of them was a smoker, and one was interested for a family member.

And I always welcome the opportunity to introduce a police officer.
Or anyone for that matter.
:)

It seems hard to fathom that an unjust ticket like that could stand, although fighting it would be a pain in the ....
But if I have to fight it, then I'll be able to introduce an entire courtroom to vaping.

There may come a day when we as vapers will have to stand up and be counted.
It may even come to civil disobedience some day, given the powers that oppose us, and our current state of apathy.

Things might get very ugly before this whole thing plays out.
I can only hope it doesn't get THAT ugly.
