Yup, keyboards are basically big horizontal surfaces, just waiting to catch stuff, with lots of little cracks for ashes to fall down in to. I had the fire fall out of a cig once, and burn a little dip in a key, ...... me off. I didn't *really* hurt anything, but it was the first blemish. The first is always the hardest... I've got a couple of Les Pauls, not being a strong guitar guy, I just never got used to a Strat's scale.

I grew up on stratocasters so they feel natural to me I guess. I have some old burn spots on my amps... hated it when it happened but now the tolex and tweed is getting pretty beat from gigging with them and it's just part of the character.

Perhaps we should all get some good (legally) free multi-track software. Get the drums 'n bass tracks laid, email it to the next guy... I suggest Audacity.

I'd love to. I've used Audacity before...but unfortunately I am out of the music biz for now. Spent my time in a recording/touring band and got completely sick of the whole scene. I still have a custom 6 string, but I sold everything else...and I do mean everything!

I've used Audacity, but find Reaper to be wonderful for collaborative work where everybody normally uses disparate DAWs. It works with Mac and Win; not sure about other variants of *nix, though.

Yea but Audacity is free! Seriously though...never used reaper, but it sure looks interesting enough.

I quit using Windows 11 years ago, all Linux now. I suggested Audacity because i knew that it was pretty broad on cross-platform. For my DAW I have been using Ardour for the last 5 years, it's very mature, and has heavy development.

Sorry for thread hijack, we should start a musician's vape thread for this stuff...

Linux fiend here too! I've installed Ardour a few times, but never really got a chance to play with it much.

Oh yeah... the reason we came to this thread in the first place. (very sorry, OP!) :p I take my new (to me) Indulgence with the tank I made a few days ago everywhere. It's not huge, but it does take two rcr123a batts for 6v, so it's no mini.

I take any of my mods with me when I roam...and use them in public view all the time. Tube mods with tanks and bottom fed juice mods. Doesn't matter...I'm proud of what I'm doing now and I prefer to keep this vaping thing in the public eye so even if no one is interested...they get used to seeing it. :) If I still used the smaller devices, I would do the same.

Don't have this thing visible when a cop pulls you over :)
