Sorry to hear that :(
That's what really gets me upset is that the Pharma companies just keep putting dangerous drugs out there,
and the FDA is more worried about trying to regulate vaping
Seems like every other day I new TV commercial comes out about a lawsuit over some drugs side effect that ruined or ended peoples lives. :glare:
Even the testing is a joke on these drugs. Try to find the truth about the Chantix testing before it was released.
If you do happen on the truth on the webs, you have to ask yourself, how did it even get approved and why is it still on the market. :grr:

The final clinical trial sanctioned by the FDA is the release of a drug to the market. Among the side effects of the final clinical trial (other than those published and later amended by the drug company) is that lawyers both plaintiff and defense get wealthy. insurance companies have yet another reason to raise rates. And, of course, the need for increased federal intervention is obvious.

I have no problem with smoking bans extending to vaping, most especially in public places. Its about being courteous "whenever" possible. That being said, I smoked in a number of places I was`nt allowed to and got away with it.

Courtesy goes both ways.

If it isn't DIRECTLY affecting you, get over it, and act like an adult.

Restrictive general bans are the lazy persons way of dealing with an issue.

You are saying the Dr. F. study on second hand vapor is irrelevant to the topic, and is junk science?

Again, everyone needs to breathe to stay alive, but no one needs to breathe in public without a mouth filter. You have thus far not presented a reason why that is necessary, to breathe in public without a filter over your mouth. By not having that filter, those who breathe in public are introducing more harmful chemicals than those who exhale vapor.

And yet, still makes around ten times more sense than your position.

I never said anything about his study. We are discussing the change in federal national parks of ecigs being treated as cigarettes. But go ahead and talk about breathing. That is what is rediculous. My god man.

What you are talking about isn't even germane to the subject. You may as well argue that the position of Uranus effects the gravitational pull of the earth in such a way that we will be extinct as a species in 700 trillion years. Thus we should be able to vape anywhere we want to. Sheeesh

The study was about breathing. Not so ridiculous when you realize that Dr. F. was saying vaping is less harmful than human breath. This thread is about those who elevate SHV to level of SHS, when it is less harmful than SHB (B equals breath).

This wasn't loud enough the first time I heard it.

So there it is again.

Bah I am more afraid of the skeeters.
Snakes, lightning, and mosquitos are NOTHING compared to meat bees.

The most important reason I started this thread, is to try get vaping out of the same category as smoking in every way.

Any battery no matter what it's used for, falls under Battery Safety.
Vaping Devices should not be labeled a Fire & Health hazard because of it's battery, unless your going to label everything that takes a Lipo or Li-ion battery like, Smartphones, Laptops, Tablets, Camping and Hiking gear, GPS, Camera, Camcorder, RC Toys ( Google search RC plane fire, and see how safe they are to fly around a park).

But again, all of these fall under Battery Safety, and they should have a Policy on Battery Safety that covers all devices that take batteries.

And I didn't want to point fingers at the rude Vapers, the cloud chasers, the uneducated, or the vape haters, but the bottom line is, they are going to have to pass some rules, I don't see any way around that.

But putting Vaping under a Smoking Policy, not only makes people think they are one in the same, but it's setting Vaping up to be regulated, banned, or temporarily banned in parks and monuments for reasons that Smoking should be, but Vaping should NOT be. :(
But politicians are lazy bastiges and it is easier to lump vaping with tobacco. Plus they get money from tobacco companies to lump them together.
Yeah it sucks big time but not as bad as totally banning vaping.

Yellow Jackets are mean. Just plain mean.

Had a nest of those things next to my pool. They scared the dickens out of me. Killing that nest was a great pleasure of mine.

I felt like a ninja armed with baby powder when I got it. My wife looked at me and said "they are just bees". Yeah right.

They pretty much reduced my wife to tears the last time we went river rafting.

She nearly had a nervous breakdown trying to eat breakfast.
And there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it.

EDIT: It was one of the worst experiences of our lives
EDIT: Yeah, I know, first-world problems
EDIT:

We had some of them nesting under our front porch. I was sitting there one day minding my own business and one came out and stung me. Hubby got rid of them after that. We didn't know exactly where the nest was so we turned off all heat sources and he sprayed gas under there. they didn't like that one little bit so moved on. :D

Hate Yellow Jackets :glare:

EFF DAT!

I've been swarmed and stung over 200 times before.

Damn things were coming out of every orifice as I ran into the house undressing.

Went to the hospital, got a chemical shower and stayed there for like 5 hours getting antihistamine shots over and over while being monitored.

Be glad it wasn't the Asian variety. Not a bee but a yellow jacket is a wasp. This is the Asian Giant Hornet. These suckers are worse and don't stop. This is what the hornet missile should have been named after. They will lock on you and stare you down.
