For the first time in more years than I can count, I visited my doctor yesterday (routine visit) and she said my lungs sound clear. What I've been hearing for years is that they sound like they're "full of trash." I showed her my e-cig. She had never seen one, and asked me to demonstrate how it works. She was fascinated and excited that it has helped me stop smoking analogs. Me, one of the most dedicated smokers you can imagine.
My husband was also seeing the doctor, because he has COPD and now has pneumonia. She actually strongly recommended the e-cig for him since he's never been able to quit analogs. I was so excited, but at the same time so frustrated. She obviously wasn't aware of the controversy with the FDA. She was totally open to the idea that the e-cig was, at the very least, a less harmful way to deal with analog addiction. Too bad the big shots in Washington aren't so willing to listen.
