I don't miss those nasty little tar sticks and there was zero transitionary period for me to switch completely to ecigs. Even my friend Nick who I talked into making the switch and who went online to buy his own similar setup within 30 minutes of me showing him my new vaporizer said he doesn't want to touch cigarettes ever again. He'd wake up the next morning after smoking heavy the night before and feel like death warmed up but with his new vape his health has improved and he doesn't feel like his lungs have been through a cheese grater. Nowadays we're showing off our new ecigs to our other smoker friends and trying to talk them into making the switch.

Congratulations on making the switch too!

I've had a lot of smokers from my circle who have asked if I'd recommend vaping, but I always say that it's completely up to them.

No one can say for sure yet whether vaping will give rise to some insidious new disease that will have us dropping like flies in 40 years.

I really don't know for sure - I'm totally happy with my decision and wouldn't have any regrets any way, but I wont't be answerable for someone else's health.

I have to say I miss the rhythm of a cigarette, the start and stop. Answer the phone, light up. Anytime brain slows down, go outside and light up. Get in the car, fire up, etc. That has been difficult to overcome but not brutal.
And for me after 20+ years my biology was perfectly tuned for that first nic blast in the morning, and then a run to the rest room!! That rhythm has been shot also. I'm a month without tobacco. Only hard cravings once in a while.
One nice thing is the cigarettes taste like absolute crap now. Before this month of cig free I vaped for a week, went to Vegas, broke down. First two cigs made me realize I could stop they tasted so bad, plus the nic was overpowering. After that they were OK but I was ready to go when I got back home.
Benefits I see after one month: No more hacking up a pile of crap each AM. No stench on me, and I like smelling again!

Not only do I not miss it, I am beginning to become one of the annoying 'Phew, that stinks' people that I hate so much. LOL.

So glad I'm not the only one like this, I would get so annoyed with people when they did that to me and now I find myself walking by someone smoking and I'm like "ugh man that stinks so bad"...I try never to let anyone hear me say it though, I know back when it happened to me I wanted to quit smoking so maybe they do as well.....That actually brings me to another subject though,

When hubs and I are out I toot my Vape all the time, Malls, restaurant just about anywhere, he use to tell me to be more discrete and I told him NO, maybe someone will ask me about it and I can share the info with them and turn someone else on to Vaping and off analogs. So far 3 people educated on Vaping

i smoked for my whole life (2 packs a day) and i have been without a cigarette now for 2 1/2 years....... I can honestly say that i do not miss smoking and it is probably because i love vaping more than i loved to smoke! I feel better and the variety of flavors and hardware is just amazing!!

In the beginning i did not know if i would be able to do it because i tried the gums and the patches etc., etc........ But that was the problem - i loved to smoke and i never loved to chew gum so i needed to find something that i could love at least as much as smoking......enter e-cigs!! The rest as they say is history..... Thank goodness.

Ya very strange, I'd sort of come to the realization that I would never quit smoking. I enjoyed it too much. Been smoking a pack a day for 20 years, and all attempts to quit did not work. Mostly because I wanted to quit for the benefit of my health, but didn't WANT to quit.

Oct 1 I started vaping and havn't had a cigarette since. Have the odd craving, but it's satisfied by the vape. I'm blown away how well it works, wish I had found it sooner. I barely miss them, although I do think of them now and then.

Honestly, Yes
Ive been vaping for only 2 weeks and although i have done all i can to advance my devices and enhance my experience, the transition is not easy.
Will i smoke again? doubtful. I am out of options on quitting and vaping has been the best and only thing that keeps me off analogs.
After 2 weeks now, i have noticed the excitement of vaping leveling off. My new flavors should come in today so that should help a lot.
When I think about going back, it only takes me a second to recall how gross smoking was and falling off the wagon will only be followed with regret and self loathing.
I just keep my head high and vape on like my life depends on it. We all know it does
