I'm one of those that didn't want to quit. I just didn't want to smoke in the company vehicle and have to douse myself with Febreeze before each customer stop and I had started chain smoking because my territory was huge and the dispatcher kept sending me 2+ hours away each day. Also, I only smoked outside while at home and so during my evening smokes--all the night flying bugs would get in the house which drove me nuts so I started staying inside & vaping to keep the bugs out. Before I knew it, I was only smoking 2 cigarettes per day and the smell of the ashtray was making me nauseous. I still like the smell of some cigarettes but ashtrays are just gross--worse than wet dog!

Every once in a while, for no reason, a craving will hit me but only for a second or two and nothing like when I tried the patch or limiting myself. Those methods were just plain & simple torture for me and my family.

I smoked for my whole life (2 packs a day) and I have been without a cigarette now for 2 1/2 years....... I can honestly say that I DO NOT miss smoking and it is probably because I love vaping more than I loved to smoke! I feel better and the variety of flavors and hardware is just amazing!!

In the beginning I did not know if I would be able to do it because I tried the gums and the patches etc., etc........ but that was the problem - I loved to smoke and I never loved to chew gum so I needed to find something that I could love at least as much as smoking......enter e-cigs!! the rest as they say is HISTORY..... thank goodness.

NO...........................

I cant eve imagine smoking anymore. I love vaping! More flavors, there are delivery systems that you can tailor to meet your needs, it's healthier, I can vape in public without worrying about the affects it will have on those around me (in acceptable settings). I cant think of of a single benefit to smoking over vaping. I will never look back! I have gotten a good portion of my friends and even my parents off analogs. Hopefully the rest will follow suit.

what 03FXDWG said .... every once in a while I get that whiff of freshly lit cigarette in my nose, and I like it, and think I want one, but then I think of the couple of times in the beginning when I did smoke a cigarette after vaping for a couple of days and the ugly burnt taste and sensation in my mouth, and how had to drink a gallon of soda (I was driving) and spit out the car window to get the taste gone until I got home and could brush or rinse.

Sometimes until I smell my wife after her smoking or ride in her car. Also do not miss the morning hack and cobwebs or the heavy breathing while going upstairs. So really, NO, I don't miss it. It has only been 22 days but every smoker I smell in an elevator or see outside in the cold at a bar fortifies my desire to never smoke again. i smoked for 22 years a pack a day...
