Does brand really matter?

I'm ready to make the purchase as soon as I figure which one to go with.
The only ecigs I know anything about are blu and V2's.
Blu is out, NO!
V2...not sure, but looks simple(like everything is there) (really I have no clue)
I'm looking to buy a starter kit to get me started that I can stay with and will last.
I do not want to keep charging via a cable throughout the day?
What exactly do I need to last me about a month before I have to reorder?
Does it all really matter?
From what I've read it seems that eGO-c may be the way to go, just looks overwhelming.
Please help, I am ready to start this journey...I'm tired of stinking and stained fingers(which just started)

Well it's a matter of personal preference, but there are a couple of easy ways to decide, google for an e-cig review, and watch some review videos, or YouTube, and watch some vids of people reviewing the ones your considering....

It is easy to try Blu, you can pick a disposable up at walgreens for ten dollars, I personallydidn't like the flavor of v2. If you smoked as much as I did, 2 packs a day, then you will need quite a few carts to satisfy, and then it all comes down to personal preference!

If you want a PV that will last and satisfy your craving for nicotine I'd suggest:
Kgo
Riva
EPower
All are 3.7 volts.
Manual batts are good because:
less chance of damage from juice
less chance of misfiring (some autos will activate from loud noise
most importantly- they put YOU in control of the vape- if you need a stronger hit you just hold the button down longer. Many users also hold the button down for 2 sec and then inhale. 3.7 volts also allows a greater variety of cartos, attys, etc.
Most of my friends started on the Kgo months ago and are still using it without any degrading of the batts.

I work with a girl that has a v2 and she really likes it. For less than the cost of her single battery kit I got a Smokeless Image Volt kit that came with a pcc, two batteries, a wall charger, and a pack of cartomizers. I could not tell a difference in performance between the two. I now use Ego batteries with a slim carto tank, and a chrome v-tube.

P.S. the Kgo uses cartomizers also so you wouldn't need the pcc. also Kgo batteries are 1100 mah which should last pretty well the whole without recharge. 100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping before recharge.

I would recommend a KGO, and eGo Clearomizers from Hoosiers Ecigs. Easy to use, great battery life, and fairly economical.

Thank You everyone, I have read a ton of reviews on here and throughout the internet. I'm thinking I should just start with a kit and go from there.
I guess my issue is I will be using as I would a real cig. other than in my home away from my children. I will be going outside with other smokers to use it, and apparently all the ones that look like real cigs. aren't really that great. I only care about that so I don't look like an idiot standing outside with other smokers puffing something strange and also for use in my car to look like a (MODERATED) . But I want a decent quality, that I will want to stay with, and that is what matters most.

TT I have had great success with my Ego T- I started with disposables then got a smoke relief kit- I don't think they make those any more, it was cigarette sized batt with prefilled cartridges. I got tired of buying cartridges, so I found my Ego Tank system. I can refill the tank myself with any e liquid and I recently bought an add on tank that holds enough for a day. The ego T is cigar sized, The kit comes with 2 batteries and atomizers, so you can have one on the charger while one is in use. There is now an Ego C - You don't have to replace the whole cone shaped atty on those,iust a replaceable part. so it is cheaper to maintain Anyway for me, the Ego T is a very easy, simple device. I have used it around other smokers and they don't make fun of me! Although I don't use it much around them anymore because I can't stand the smell of cigarettes at all now. But for me the EgoT has been great. I am going to add a vv mod to my arsenal next but still use the Ego T. There are so many choices out there! You just have to pick one! That's the hardest part!

I would love a short battery about the diameter of a cigarette that would last for 6 or 8 or more hours.
So far I haven't found one , least if I did I did not know it.
I don't want a fancy pretty vaporizer I want a cig. I will be hanging out with people who are mostly smokers and Im not ready to become a non-smoker, just not a smoker of tobacco.

This is a good place, but info can overwhelm one.

If you find the perfect battery for your wants let me know please...

The KR808's look like a cigarette and work pretty well to start on, Volt and Halo G6 are pretty widely used. I quit on a Halo G6, it is pretty easy, only thing is battery life is a few hrs, but if you get an extra you always keep them charged. Good luck! bnrk

None of the small cigarette looking e-cigs will last anywhere near 6-8 hours.
For a long-lived battery, the kGo is about as small as you're going to get.
It's a great starter kit. You don't need any fancy tanks or proprietary atomizers or cartridges.
A kit will include 2 kGos, a charger, an atomizer for tasting juice and usually a pack of 5 cartomizers.
It's smallish, maybe slightly larger than a Sharpie marker pen.
It's no less simple to use than one of those mini-cigs you get at the drugstore, but it's a million times better.
The only difference is that you need to either buy pre-filled cartomizers (not recommended), or fill your own.
That means you have a whole world of juice choices and filling cartos is easy and cheap.

There are probably thousands of success stories here from people who started with a kGo and very, very few who regretted getting that model as their first e-cig. Some people never even bother moving beyond it, unlike 95% of mini-cig users.

The problem is that no such animal exists. Maybe in 5 years or so, they'll be able to pack enough energy into something the size of a cigarette to last 6 hours. For now, it just isn't possible, unless you take a draw every 10 minutes or so.

Unfortunately, if you are an average vaper, a battery will have to be around 900-1200mah to last 6-8 hours.
There are estimates that use 1hr. per 100mah, but you can't really go by that. That's a very rough estimate because, as you vape, your battery won't be dead but it will be getting weaker and weaker. You're going to want to swap it out before it gets down low enough to be considered "drained". The kGo is about 1100mah and pretty small. The e-Powers last longer, but they are larger. Not huge, but bigger around. Well, one of them, the 18650 is pretty big, but that one could last you 3 days.

If you want to avoid swapping batteries all the time, you really can't avoid something bigger than a cigarette.
Believe me, there's nothing worse than being out somewhere and having your battery go dead before the other one has had time to charge up in those crummy little charging cases. As a battery ages, it holds it charge for less and less time. Eventually, unless you are real strict about having fresh, new spares, that is what will happen and you'll be hunting for a store to buy some cigarettes.

It sucks when that starts to happen. I've got a couple of 18650s that are at least a year and a half old and I usually end up recharging them after a couple hours of use. I really just need to drop the money on a bunch of new ones.

At least the two PVs I have that use them aren't the ones I take to work and only get used at home so it's just a minor annoyance.

The Mistic cigarette clones last through 6 hours of non stop chain vaping (think barely leaves the lips chain vaping!), or about 2 days of light vaping. They are becoming more widely available, and can be found at Sams club in three tobacco dept, walmart, some gas stations, etc.

Sams club charges about 10 for one battery, charger, and 2 cartos (which last as long as the battery or slightly longer), and also sells 20 packs of the cartos for around $35. The cartos are refillable once you get the hang of removing the top. Plus, they're a horizontal coil, so it's a pleasant, quiet vape.

I used them exclusively for about a month before buying my kgo, and still carry one in my purse for easy vaping in the car/ out & about in case I forget my REO.

If you get something bigger You won't be the only vapor for long. It spreads like wild fire. Just ask anyone who's been vaping very long. You won't convert them all but you will some. I don't blame you for wanting to blend tho.
