Just wondering, allowing good storage, does nicotine get less potent over time?

I am wondering, because I have some new flavors from a b&m that a rocking me like never before.

I have been vaping 18 mg 70/30 for about a month now. Perhaps the eliquids I have had before have sat around too long, or these sat around just right before I bought them.

Or I finally learned how to use my pv.

Popular vendors seem to say there's about a 12-18 month lifespan on the shelf of nicotine by itself. I think nic in PG would keep better than VG perhaps, then again the viscosity in VG might aid in it overall mixing around in itself less and therefore oxidizing a bit less with whatever air is in the bottle. You can freeze nicotine apparently as it has to get to -30 or something to freeze and domestic freezers only do about -10 I think. Freezing anything will probably make it last several times longer than if stored at room temperature (just my guess). Also storage in dark containers and glass containers if you're going to have things out at room temperature and exposed to any light would help.

It is not recommended to keep mixed juice in the fridge. I keep my bulk batches in a cool cabinet, only the stuff I am actually using in smaller bottles is out. I vape it before it can change much.

Nicotine is another animal. I keep mine in the freezer except for 30ml in the fridge that I'm using to mix juice with. It never sits out in room temp or light. I get what I need and put it back immediately. If I mix 3 batches it comes out 3 times. Nic starts to oxidize when mixed, exposed to air and light. It changes color itself from colorless to orangeish.

Food flavoring lasts pretty long, as far as shelf life. Most manufacturers, if you look at their websites, mention any flavoring that will change somewhat, (lose notes) at 6 months. I tend to buy 4 oz bottles of flavors I use a lot, keep nothing past a year.
