That was last month, we have a new perfect RTA or 3 this month.

Yeah... That why when it comes to RTA's, I'm Living in the Past.

"Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said?
Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed.
I try to socialize but I can't seem to find
what I was looking for, got something on my mind."

Yeah me too I like to let others who jump on the next new thing to all the suffering. I learn from their mistakes and buy obsolete stuff with a good performance record cheaper.

What iz that atty?

I hear you.

Seems like Every Time I read about some New, Latest and Great atomizer, the reviews are Stellar. That is, until I buy it and it ships. That is when the Reviews start showing up that it Leaks. Or that the Screws are plated. Or ...

What iz that atty?

IMO, there is no perfect RTA here, almost every RTA has some issue. For you ,what kind of quality would you prefer or what kind of RTA do you really want to get??waiting for your response.:pervy::pervy::pervy:
Eve, my perfect RTA, wouldnt leak, give dry hits and great flavour, top filling, 0.3 ohms,,,as large a tank as poss. My griffin 25 is currently behaving itself but isnt always the case. Was having a look at the avacado 24. Just by its construction it looks like it "should" tick all those boxes,,,

The Avocado24 is the first RTA that's worked Really well for me, so I am biased. It is a Genesis design in that the tank is below the deck. If one does not clog the wick holes with wicking it wicks well. This means that if laid on it's side liquid will seep out the airflow holes, Even though they are pretty high up on the cap.

Using the Rayon, it vapourizes profusely in all directions when the power is applied, this can lead to a bit of liquid splashing out through the air slots.

When the tank is filled to the top it takes as little as 3 or 4 good chugs to notice the level in the tank has dropped. I need to carry a 30ml. bottle out for the day instead of my usual 10ml. for refilling. This is with a single 24g SS coil at 0.3-0.4 ohm resistance. A dual coil set-up would likely use twice as much liquid, or go through juice twice as fast.

The extra thin tails of wicking do not reach the bottom of the tank, I do not want them to, so when the tank is drained half way it is about time to refill. Although I can vape it lower as the action of vaping and tilting the device does wet the wick.

I do not Ever buy 2 of the same device/product as I'm always looking for something better than what I currently have. Am seriously considering a spare Avocado24 though.

Keep in mind, my only comparisons are to some seriously flawed RTA's of the past.
I'm no aficionado or critic but if I lost it today I would not hesitate one minute on grabbing another. Cheers.

The Avocado 24 ticks alot of boxes, it's versatile, doesn't leak, easy to build and wick. But is is not perfect, why not: you have to refill quite often.
Closest so far for me: the Merlin, but also not perfect: easy to wick, but can leak if not wicked right, and I am not a fan of the juice control.
Also one of my favorites: UD Bellus, but also not perfect: does not fit large coils, and wicking is important and tricky, else it leaks alot.
I'm also still looking for The One :)

A lot of great posts,,,as i thought the "perfect RTA" doesnt exist yet,,,,
But tbh i dont think its far away,,,the advances in such a short time have been quite amazing. I like my gadgets also and am a bit too quick to hit the "order now" button. If im honest with myself my griffin 25 does do the job,,,maybe was having one of those "leaky days".
Ill wait a few weeks and im sure ill unload and get the avacado,,i mean,,,it looks cool,,,right??? Haha

Just hit the "buy now" button,,,
Avacado 24 on its way....
Im such an easy touch to a good you tube review
Some of the reviewers were doing pretty crappy wick jobs. imo.
I watched a boatload before pulling the trigger too.
So gun shy due to all the Crap stuff in my never to be used again drawer. I've never bought much or often but have surely tossed a few hun. at garbage over the years.
It's all mostly still available too! haha.
Buyer Beware. Cheers.

How is it?
I was thinking due to its construction alone dry hits should be almost zero and leaking should also be a thing of the past unless lying on its side....curious about the flavour,,, hopefully up there with drippers...

I've recently acquired a bunch of rta's, some of which i personally find close to perfect. The Mage by Coil Art, I just got today and it's amazing. Fantastic flavor, easy to build on, very well built. The boreas is also amazing, and I quite enjoy the avocado24. The Modfather is amazing if you can hang with a 30mm tank. The limitless rdta can give you very close to the 'dripper experience' in a tank. Basically I think there is no perfect tank, but a good tank can deliver the perfect vape, provided you know how to build and wick for your own style. It's usually worth it to spend a lot of time with a tank before deciding it's not for you. I have a couple of tanks, the cthulhu v1 and v2, that I've used and enjoyed for almost a year, but I wouldn't say they're perfect. I can build them to where they are very enjoyable. Leaking and dry hits always come down to wicking, unless you're dealing with a very poorly designed rta. I haven't had a dry hit on an rta unless I vaped it dry, for months. I was a guy who had just a couple of tanks for a long time, now I have quite a few, and the ones I use all are capable of providing an excellent vape with no dry hits and minimal if any leaking. I forgot to mention the griffin, i have the 22mm version and find it to be perfectly adequate, although it's a bit of a plain jane compared to some of these others.

Hi, was wondering does the perfect RTA exist?
Every tank ive had has leaked or given me dry hits. Just seems a constant struggle with getting the wick just right. Im currently using the griffin 25. And tbh, am getting fed up with yet another tank leaking or giving dry hits. Every second day im trying to get the wick just right,,
Is there an RTA out their that is really "plug n play"?

Yes... and it is made by Imeo. (IMO)
Tilemahos w/Spring-O.

Cheers

The flavour is really quite good. Again it depends largely on what it's built with and how it is built.
I found it necessary to dilute the liquid used in this tank 100% with plain PG to reduce the nic hit as after 3 or 4 good toots I was getting a little queezy. Even with the dilution the flavour wasn't too bad at all. So in the end my brew for the tank runs around 2% flavouring and 2% nic. for my Capella vanilla custard mix.

Other tanks with the factory coils I still run with 5% flav and around 6% nic.

The main reason for the drop/dilution was due to changing from cotton wick to rayon. Once I learned how best to wick with it from the first couple posts here... Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2 it didn't take long to have it pumping out plumes, which is unusual for me as I'm a bit of a slow learner. It is reletively easy to wick so it works okay, but it's the "fine tuning" that'll bring it to the next level. I've never really been a dripper but think there would be no difference at all between the 2. Cheers.
