I have been looking at mods and we have decided to go ahead and get the Provari's, but in watching all of these videos and reading all the info, i keep wondering.. does something like the following exist out there already? The Ego Twist is ok, but it doesnt teach and its disposable.

What I see in my mind is a "teaching" mod. It doesnt take much to operate it. It works off of rechargeable batteries. It automatically reads the ohms of the device and adjusts itself, of course, I can tweak it with a "stronger/weaker hit" dial. It warns me if i get near to frying something, but it doesnt stop me.

But, what I see in my mind is as it adjusts itself, and then when i adjust the dial, is that it has a read-out that tells me volts/watts/power, etc, so that i can learn the more technical parts while getting a great vape and not destroying anything :D

My hubby is the tech guy, he loves the complicated things, i keep thinking about a KISS Mod.. Keeping It Super Simple (while i learn) ;)

PS.. it has to be sexy too

Ultimately, almost everything in vaping is disposable. I have a ProThingy ;), but I love my Twists and rotate them around (I'm a "two-fisted" vaper and don't like having to screw tanks on and off). Twists are supposedly good for about 300 charges, that's good with me considering the price.

The VAMO seems to be a nice VV/VW, I almost bought one. Keep in mind that even with a device that reads ohms & volts and adjusts for you, it won't keep you from frying. For example, I got some weird cartomizers that read at 2.6ohms and started to fry at 4v. They were perfectly primed and worked acceptably (well, almost) at around 3.7v, but based on the rating shouldn't have burned at that voltage. If I had adjusted the watts to the level I usually like, it would have started smoking.

I dont know. Looking around at stuff.

The Provaris are the *main* mod to get from all i have seen and read. But i do wish it had a "noob mode" on it, lol. I want something well made that will last, and once i learn it it wont be a problem. Just wish there was something simple to learn on.

I am not a math person, and all the numbers seem complicated to me. A friend suggested an evic, but the reviews arent that hot.

actully,RMS (watts)mode will prevent that from happening as it will adjust itself with the ohm of the atty preventing melt down. That is what the OP is looking for(set it,forget it).

Ummm...The cartomizer reads at 2.6 ohms. I like around 8 watts when I vape. If I set the watts to 8, won't the voltage adjust in the neighborhood of 4.4-4.6 volts? How will the mod know that the carto is defective?

ETA: I realize this was a very unusual situation, I was addressing your comment, not the use of VW overall.

You pretty much described an eVic (except maybe the sexy part).

Even with a device that has VV & VW, you're still going to need to have a general idea of the principles. It's really not difficult (if I can learn it, you can), you just get into a basic range and then adjust for taste.

The Vamo is our choice for a back-up mod so far. I was hoping if there was a simple one that it could be the back up, but i am not finding it. Been watching the reviews on evics, they dont seem that well made, but I have only been through one video on on number 2. It also doesnt say it works on a Mac, and that is what i have.

The eVic is supposed to be out with a Mac version; it may be out already.
