No one said you cannot. You still can. I didn't say to ban it either. Aren't we adult enough to digest arguments rather than just blowing it out of proportion? I said it is with childish labelling and you agree that it is right? Now, is it needed? If you feel so, fine. No one is telling you to accept others opinion. Keep the cool

In MY opinion, I was not blowing anything out of proportion, nor was I saying that anybody was not entitled to a different opinion. I was simply "digesting the argument" and stating my thoughts that words like childish (in regards to the bottle art) make me think of the zealots ( not that you are one) that say adults don't care to partake in things like candy, other treat flavors or fun graphics. I would say that cartoons cookies are fun and happy rather then childish. While this type of labeling may not be needed, my point all along this whole thread and another like it has been that I am not going to tell somebody else that they are doing it wrong by marketing their product with fun pictures or anybody that they are being "childish" for being attracted by it. The word childish is meant as an insult. Usually used along with the words , don't be. My little soap box was all about that a person can be extremely mature, responsible and serious at the same time as fun, happy and free. I also try to remember that the age of adulthood ranges (in most places) from 18 (which to me is very young to well, dead. Vapers are all across that age spectrum and marketing tools are going to be varied (hopefully anyway) depending on owners target group within legal age. Can I get out of the naughty corner now?

What's to Worry about?

When All the Nicotine comes in Pre-Filled Closed System Cartridges that are Chip Enabled to Stop working after 200 Puffs, what are you going to put in your rta but 0mg?
I agree.

I was just saying that they MIGHT be able to use "intended use" if they wanted to.
But I already said that I don't think they'll bother with any of that.

They'll just choke off the e-liquid and life is easy.
No further regulation needed.

Yeah... Why take the Hard Road when there is a Much Easier Path to go down.

if they regulate them,yes.

OK...

BTW - When I read All this I can't help seeing this Scenario in my Mind.

8:30 PM - Friday Night - Outside a CVS near you.

3 High School Students are Milling around out in front of CVS.

As I walk by, one of them Slides over towards me with a 10 Dollar Bill palmed in his Hand and says...

"Hey Mister. Hey Mister. Can you do us a Favor? Can you buy us Some Organic Cotton?"

But you can't is the point. I shoudl be able to send my 10 year old daughter to the store with 5 bucks to buy some cotton.

Now what is wrong with this?

1) I will get children services called on me for allowing my kid to walk to the store. 2) She will buy herself some candy first and forget about the cotton and rot her teeth and then jack up dental prices. We will get some ADA next. (Affordable Dental Act) 3) It is none of their business what I/my kid buys cotton for. This is one of the freaking reasons we left England. It is none of their business. I may want to glue the cotton balls to my body and lay on my blacktop drive in 100 degree heat. So what?

This is Hysterical.

Ok... Say I am Actually going to use it for a Non Tobacco using Purpose?

Like Gluing Cotton Balls to my Body and then Laying on a Blacktop Driveway on a Hot Day?

Hey that's my idea. I will upload pictures shortly! It isn't quite 100 degrees today but mid 90's.

I just wonder what the CBAOAA (Cotton Ball Artists of America Association) feels about all this?

I don't think they are just going to sit back and Do Nothing about these coming FDA Cotton Ball Regulations. They have a Pretty Powerful PAC in Congress ya know.

I agree that e-liquid is the choking point, and that closed container systems in very limited flavors being the only FDA approved source of nicotine for vapers is a highly likely possibility.

Which is more likely to contribute to this scenario?

Vapers and industry leaders vocally in favor of adults having access to varying flavors, and sharing stories AND STUDIES/SURVEYS detailing how important choice and variety of flavors is in the transition from smoking to vaping.

OR

this:
Marketing Materials: We agree that marketing imagery, nomenclature, and product naming must not target persons under the legal age of purchase.
Flavors Target Adults Only: We are committed to the development of a sensible protocol to ensure flavors used are not being used to target children.

I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer, I know which one feels right to me, and which one feels like an invitation to "tobacco, menthol, and unflavored"

Neither. But I'm not going to talk about it in a Open Forum.

I'll send you a PM if you want.

I know which one not only feels right, but is right.
But then I'm not a parent, so I can't speak for the Helicopter Parents.

Well, you're very centered on public perception. To me, one of those says yes, there's a problem, and something needs to be done about it. The other says, this is what helped me kick my 22 year smoking habit, do you know anyone you think could benefit from that?

Waiting......

I am at work. I will once I get home, maybe. I will have to explain why to my wife and kids. Hopefully I don't scare off the little old lady next door. She is the old type women that men have their duties in life and women have theirs. She did wink at me once though.

I gotta find 5 bucks though. I never have cash on me because I have daughters and a wife that grab the cash from my wallet whenever they need some. I won't give her my card.

A very Compelling Comparison.

But with regards to Closed System Cartridges, there will be a Fundamental Argument used for them. Something that is Going to be Hard to Counter.

Tell them that you are Doing it for Science.

No one likes to Standing in the Way of Scientific Research. And even when people Don't understand what is Going on, they Except it.

Because Not Understanding Science is Socially Expectable. And how can one Understand what is Going On with Science until the Scientific Experiment is Complete?
