Whatever you say Mike.

But I think you should start Considering that telling an Elected Senator to Fight Against Everything is a Fantasy. They are Not Going to Do It. And it is Not what their Money Givers want them to do.

I understand that you Want Everything to stay just like it is Today. And I wish it Could. But the Market is Going to Change.

So it really Comes Down To How Much Support at the Congressional Level can we Gather to Effect those Changes.
Which is why senators/congressman should be unpaid positions. Then only those that truly cared about the issues would be involved. Leave the corporate money bags out of it.

i dunno about unpaid, but I've long thought it should be a minimum wage position... let them see what that is like.

Awhile back I went to all the B&Ms in my area and brought them CASAA cards.
I also brought a CASAA display case to show them, and provided a link where they could get one.
(CASAA Vendor Display Kit

It was very much a mixed bag, with many vendors being aware, and many being clueless.
Some of them were familiar with CASAA, and some even put out the cards I brought.

I don't think any of them got a display though.
And I don't think any of them ordered more cards either.

I saw you mention that before, but don't think I got the whole story. I hope things are different here, but won't get my hopes too high...

I would Highly Suggest that EVERY Person contact Both the House and Senate Reps. And tell them what they want.

Unfortunately for Both You and I, we Couldn't have any more Hard Core ANTZ than we do in the Senate.

When I look up ANTZ Policy Maker in the Dictionary, This Photo is to the Left of the Description.

She'd make an outstanding Nurse Ratched, if they ever remade Cuckoo's Nest... You can see in her eyes how much she hates humanity.

I agree that the chances of that happening are slim to none.

What I would like to see happen, and the chances of this are also slim to none, is a Senator standing up and saying something along the lines of:

In 2009 the courts ruled that the FDA could not regulate these products as medicinal, in the absence of therapeutic claims, and that makes sense, it's not medicine. So now the FDA wants to gain regulatory authority through Tobacco Control. However, that doesn't really make sense either. Yes, vapor products can contain nicotine, and yes that nicotine is derived from tobacco, but that seems to be where the physical connection ends. The FSPTCA was intended to minimize the public health harms of tobacco products. One of the major results has been that "new" tobacco products have an incredibly difficult time of coming to market. Perhaps we have been going about this all wrong. Here is a product that has the potential to eradicate tobacco use, but if we apply the regulatory framework of Tobacco Control to it, we might be smothering it in its crib. Maybe it is time to see these vapor products for what they are, something new and innovative. Are they without potential for harm, no, but why not take the time to explore what those potential harms are? If the public health gains of vapor products far outweigh their potential harm, do we not have the responsibility to foster this innovation, to promote the health and well being of our constituents?

HELL YEAH!! Who can we pay to do this?

Cutting out their "official pay" would not change much, unfortunately. They get far more money, influence, and power, by trading or selling favors.

This one: Why don't people want e-liquid labels changed? | E-Cigarette Forum

It's been dragging on as interminably as this one... with much of the same empty rhetoric, rebuttal, repetition of empty rhetoric, etc...

You know, even though we don't seem to be making any progress on reaching an agreement among ourselves, I think it's a good thing to keep these threads on the first page in the interest of raising awareness among members of the situation we're facing.

Yeah, zoid and I have been around the block a few times, on this and similar subjects. It's good for everyone to get the ideas out there and run through everything. I really need to go back through this and a couple other threads though and compile some stuff into a blog post or something. It would definitely save me some time :)

the ANTZ don't believe its a fantasy. why should we?
the squeaky wheel gets the grease. lets let them know we are on
top of this and we know what the game is. money.make them come
up with the proof to justify their positions.all of their positions.

I've been studying zoidMan's posts for years...
And as far as I can tell it is most definitely random...

The more he insists that it isn't, the more I worry for his sanity.
Or maybe I'm just not smart enough to figure it out.
:)

No offense to zoid, whom I consider a good egg.

Aren't we all a bit random at times? When I look at my positions, I have changed a lot over the 10 months I have vaped. I have learned a lot, and thought a lot about how I really feel. I know you meant this a fun little friendly jab, but it made me think about how I can come off as random sometimes. Geez, if anybody ever quoted an old post of mine when I was still learning (not that I am all knowledgeable now) I would question my own sanity. o_O:eek:

Yeah, but you always act like this is some sort of vendor plan to scare vapers.
Which is not even remotely accurate due to what I said previously.

I'd go with the tapas and Spanish beer, but that's just me.
As long as we're not talking blood sausage.

That stuff is beyond nasty.
Almost as nasty as Head cheese.

And Pilsner Urguell doesn't really do it for me.
But then again, I don't know of a good Spanish beer, so...

I guess I just really like tapas.
:)

OMG your kidding. Blood sausage and head cheese (although the name makes me a bit ill) are most wonderful. I hate that I can no longer get head cheese in the deli. It is just spiced pork scraps in jelly. My dad used to make his own Boudin Noir (blood pudding) and it was so rich and wonderful. He used to say.. try everything once, give it a fair chance. If you don't like it, you can always spit it into a napkin. If you don't care for it give it another try in five years and see if your tastes have matured. I ate a lot of different food and I always think of him saying this when it is something a little strange. The only thing thus far that I had a real difficult time with is a balut (spelling). Philippine, fertilized egg that is fermented in the ground or soured. I just could not get past the smell and looks. Some may see me as gross, I look at it as a culinary adventure.
