I have a coworker that has been vaping for a few years. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have known vaping existed.

Going on 5 months of vaping - now I educate her!! She had no idea that vaping was under attack, or that laws were being passed right here in Texas that might make it harder to get things by mail.

I've thought about printing pamplets and taking them to the nearby B&Ms, but some of them give me the distinct impression that they would not like it. I can't figure it out - maybe they think the political side of things might scare new vapers (and new customers) away from vaping?

I too learned a bit about vaping from 2 neighbors (technically I was already looking into it) and now they come to me for advice. They don't care to know anything about the fight either. Scary and sad just how many vapers just want to keep their heads in the sand. I am surprised a bit with what you say about your local B&M's. Mine has a lot of literature on their counters and educational pamphlets to encourage questions as well. It could be just as you said about fear. They may think why would somebody want to start something just to be told they need to stop or fight for the right to continue. Maybe you could still bring them in and tell (ask) shop owner to include them along with purchases of established customers.

That's a great idea!

I'm waiting for the boss to be out of the office so I can print them on nice paper on the big nice laser printer -- dang it why won't he leave? LOL

The only way to make them understand is to ban their iPhones and relegate their use strictly within iBooths (like the ancient phone booths). No signal outside them. All for the children, their healthy brain development and as cheap insurance against unknown long time effects.

Can you imagine the fight we would see to protect that? hahaha

I can Respect your POV Russum. And there is a degree of Valor in Fighting everything at Every step in the Process.

But can we Expect Middle of the Road Senators and their Money Givers to share the Same POV?

Not if we don't insist on it.

Cutting out their "official pay" would not change much, unfortunately. They get far more money, influence, and power, by trading or selling favors.

And anyone paricipating with a conflict of interest should be removed permanently.

But I think you should start Considering that telling an Elected Senator to Fight Against Everything is a Fantasy. They are Not Going to Do It. And it is Not what their Money Givers want them to do.

All we have to do is donate buckets of cash to their reelection campaigns and offer to replace the money they would lose in MS payments and cigarette taxes.

I understand that you Want Everything to stay just like it is Today. And I wish it Could. But the Market is Going to Change.

So it really Comes Down To How Much Support at the Congressional Level can we Gather to Effect those Changes.

There might be a handful of honest pols who will say it isn't fair to smokers to take away the vaping option in order to line their own pockets. Maybe because they are ready to retire and don't plan on becoming lobbyists. Maybe a few libertarians who actually believe in personal freedom and are willing to risk their careers for it. Maybe a few who have family members who got off smoking through vaping.

If those people exist they won't be in a majority so they won't be able to block all change. But maybe they could slow the train down a little and leave us some wiggle room. There's those four guys who are opposing the 2007 grandfather date. Boehner made some helpful statements, although it's hard to tell whether his motives are political or coming from some principle.

These vaping laws are a big deal to us but a tiny deal to members of Congress. Their entire exposure to it might be no more than a one page memo from a staffer saying we got 200 letters from constituents, and a short paragraph explaining the current situation, like, if we make a fuss it would tick off the party leaders. Followed by a 2 hour meeting to discuss next week's fundraising activities.

I would Highly Suggest that EVERY Person contact Both the House and Senate Reps. And tell them what they want.

Unfortunately for Both You and I, we Couldn't have any more Hard Core ANTZ than we do in the Senate.

When I look up ANTZ Policy Maker in the Dictionary, This Photo is to the Left of the Description.

Does she have any proof that regulations can prevent freak accidents:

California balcony collapse leaves 5 dead, 8 injured | Toronto Star

Regulate that!

I hear that this particular balcony had a very ornate railing that attracted those poor people out onto it thus putting them in danger. Perhaps if the selfish building designer had put a bland, standard railing on it thos people would be alive today to visit other balconies. :sneaky: I think all balconies should have a sign that reads, "this could fall and kill you." :danger: No disrespect to those injured or killed in this tragic accident intended.

As long as it isn't flavored or has cartoons on it to attract young children it should be fine.

I submit the standard FDA "This is not a safe alternative to cigarettes" warnings should be everywhere including balconies. I guess that after fogging the apartment they were attracted by the prospect of fresh air.

Anyway by now we have proof that crumbling balconies are a bigger threat than vaping.

Seems to me that Californians building their houses on stilts atop mountains of mud just ready to slide is the biggest danger of all!

Houses on STILTS! In earthquake country! They don't need regulations, they need a huge LOONEY BIN!!!

the ANTZ don't believe its a fantasy. why should we?
the squeaky wheel gets the grease. lets let them know we are on
top of this and we know what the game is. money.make them come
up with the proof to justify their positions.all of their positions.
regards
mike
Exactly

We challenged Congress and the usfws to come up with irrefutably concrete data and we came up with our own based on fact.

They couldn't face facts so they lost.
