So unfortunately true. The last place we lived, before we bought this house, I knew at our housewarming party that we needed to get away from our landlady ASAP... when discussing idiot cashiers, who give back too much or too little change... our landlady said if she got back too much, she'd keep it -- and nevermind that poor cashier who might lose the job and/or have to make up that difference from their own money. That's just low.

Much easier. A govt agency deems roses to be tobacco products. The public at large doesn't care. Govt raises taxes, prohibits public display and use of roses. Public at large still doesn't care. Professor Rantz declares roses to be machinations of big tobacco. Lessifer and Rossum stock on roses. Govt raises tax again. Public at large still doesn't care.

I went on a business trip to I think Iowa. I grabbed a cab at the airport and started talking to the cabbie. once we got to where we were going I asked how much. He kinda looked at me and said "Well I forgot to turn on the meter". Ooops. He said I can't charge you. I said okay about how much would it be if you had the meter on? (It was about 10 minute back and forth) He said around 20-30 bucks. I gave him 40 and said thanks for the chat. You can decide what to do with it.

I work for a living and expect to be paid my fair share too.

And the thing about a cashier.. if they give you too little change, you'll notice, bring it to their attention, in order to get what is owed to you. Therefore if they should give you too much, you still should speak up, and give it back to them -- because you are NOT owed that much back. It's only fair. I know very well the world is not a fair place, but the concept of fairness is important to uphold wherever and whenever possible. It can also be called karma -- and if you take more than your due, you can rest assured that the universe will be sure you pay it back, somehow, someway, somewhen.

I'm definitely thinking both, or if it were only one it would be change.org since I want public awareness raised. Even if we don't convince congress to do something, if we can make the public aware of our fight, it will be worth it.

I will need help getting the word out, I'm not really active in the vaping world outside of ECF.

JSYK - It would be Nice to get 100,000 in 30 on "we the People". But it is Not Necessary that we do. So don't think it is not Worthwhile to start a Petition there.

Because the Powers that be. HSS Secretary, FDA Head, Congressional Staffers, OOTP, etc, all monitor "We the People" .

We made it to just over 36,000 and it appeared for a long time like they were not going to respond.

I believe they eventually did respond one year later.

I'd just hate to NOT make the goal.

In 2011 we needed 5,000 and got there.

But 2015 is a Different Time than 2013. As 2013 was to 2011.

One of the Biggest things (besides generate Awareness to those who Sign and to Policy Makers who read it) a petition like this can do is to Establish some Working Machinery as to how to get a Petition Going and Effectively reach People.

This is Not Going to be the Last Petition written.

I wouldn't want to Wait to the 11th Hour, when the FDA Rule Set has been Released, to Figure Out how to get a petition read by the 97% of the Vapers in the USA who are Not Members of the ECF.

The petitions in 2011 and 2012 were vastly different then what they want to petition for now, plus, the number of ecig users have risen dramatically since then. As much as I would love to say 100 thou in 30 days no problem... I just can't find it in me to though, I guess if it can just create more awareness that would be a big plus, but, at this late hour we need more then just awareness.

I was thinking of buying a really popular eliquid recently. I always keep my eliquids out of reach from my kids, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy this particular eliquid because of the packaging and the thought that it just looked too much like something kids would mistake for candy. Anyway this is the eliquid:

I hate all the media reports that say eliquid flavours are attracting kids when vendors never sell to under 18s, but I think packaging like this isn't helping either.

I think this thread might be on a different subject by now but I wanted to comment on this.
Our industry is still young but growing and improving everyday
Children vaping or getting their hands on some eliquid are problems that the vape industry is working on.

Companies like iJOY are adding password protection on their VW mods, kinda like on a smartphone.


I went to a Vaping Convention Circuit in Pittsburgh last weekend and I seen this company called Bad Drip that puts their bottles inside a child proof medicine bottle.
How many years did it take before the pharmaceutical companies to finally start putting their meds in child proof bottles lol

Ok, just thought of another reason to get kids involved with vaping - coil building. I just rebuilt my dripper which I use infrequently for liquids I use infrequently and because as a whole drippers suck. They don't hold enough liquid, don't taste any better than an RBA and most of them are set up for dual coil to work best. (Yes I know, there are lots of you who think they taste better, don't mind refilling them every 12 seconds and like having two coils do the job that one should do. I'm not here to fight about it.) So here I am trying to make tiny coils for my dripper, cursing the traditional 3 post design but unwilling to buy another dripper when it dawns on me again: Kids are little and have little hands but generally have excellent eyesight. Imagine having little hands building little coils 2 hours a day. They could sell pre-made coils for the same price as raw wire through enough volume. The kids would learn the valuable skills they could take with them through out life. We need to take a clue from the Chinese playbook (who are currently stomping our @sses) and put our kids to work.
