I'm sort of flailing around in the dark..well not really, because I've been reading this forum a LOT. Anyhow. I have the eGo C kit with two 1000 *whatever* batts. One charger, 5 cartridges and 5 electrical doodads that heat stuff up. This is working well, but now there are two of us vaping, and this provided me with the perfect excuse to buy more stuff.

So today I got two Kanger t3 thingys, and two Vivi Nova thingys. I also got two extra things that one evidently uses when the same things in the t3s no longer function. They're spikey objects. Also two more 1000 *whatever* batteries in a nice macho black for the male participant. I got different tank things so that we could see which we preferred. Also another charger. (we both travel a lot.) I cannot begin to describe the level of angst in trying to figure out what to get...and I am slightly *challenged* by such an overwhelming amount of choice. (And jargon!)

Still, it was fun, and we're both achieving vape, so to speak, so I guess we'll just carry on. The hubs is an engineer, but this started out as my "thing", so I'm trying to retain intellectual superiority in all things vape. I know that he's going to get all geeky soon, damn it, he is gently trying to explain to me how batteries work and so forth:rolleyes:....I'm walkin' a fine line, let me tell you:lol:

Oh yes, back to the essential actual question, do those sound like wise purchases?

Hey, you are following the exact same steps I took.. started with ego-c then got 2 x Kanger t3's and then one Vivi Nova. I was aslo tempted and got (we'll call this one my geeky side treat because it was a bit $$) an e-vic battery.. now I am so impressed with the Vivi nova that I just ordered more and also ordered the mini vivi nova which both uses the same "atomizer heads" or electrical doodads as you refer them. now I'm still trying out juices (you haven't mentioned what you tried so far?) i'm mostly trying out fruity ones (yea that sounds cool alright lol) And now looking at info on DIY juices...

I found the Kanger t3 to be a bit tempermental... lots of fidling to make them work, but I think it was because the juice I was using was too much VG. now they work great on juices that are 70% PG and 30 % VG.

Ps: i've been at it for 1 1/2 week so far.. Haven't touch a real cig in 8 days now... cool.

have fun and great success in your vaping.

Reg

Without a doubt you are on the right track. The next thing you need are a couple of DCTs.

Keep up the good work!

edit: What are the other tank things you refer to? Maybe you already have the DCTs.

I don't know what a DCT is. I may now enter a shame spiral....just kidding! But what's a DCT?

Are your batteries the Ego C upgraded? If they are you may want to consider getting 2 Ego Twists next. Otherwise everything looks good. Just always reminder to have backups of everything and enough juice for 2 of you at all times.

Yep, Ego C upgraded. The twists are the ones that you can adjust the amps? Or some such thing? I have read about them, but I didn't want to confuse myself. Confuse myself more, that is. I must buy more juice. I'm on a quest for black licorice.

Since you are jumping right in it is very important to have a variety of equipment on hand to keep your vaping lifestyle "spiced-up".

I think you are ready .... you need a mod. I recommend the Vamo.

Normally I would not make such a recommendation to a noob but ....
I wish, I wish this stuff was around when I first started vaping.
Things would have been so much easier and better.

Newcomers these days are spoiled rotten :)

I was pleased to see the OP ask what a DCT is, as I could never figure it out. The Vapor Geek link looks just like a vivi nova and similar to a Stardust. So what is the difference?

From a not so newbie.

DC = dual coil cartomizer, T = Tank

I assume that you already know what a cartomizer (carto) is.

The DCT carto has two small, pre-punched, holes that allow for constant juice seepage to the filler component of the carto: This negates the requirement for the user to constantly add liquid to the carto.

Referring to the pic in the previous post, the carto sits within the tank.

Novas and Stardusts do not use filler for atomizer wicking ...

Hi Reg!

Yep, we seem to be on a similar path, but you're a week ahead, congrats on 8 (9 now, I guess) days. As for juice, I've tried After Eight Thin Mint, (like), Mocha Cappucino, (meh, but hubby Likes it), and today when my burner (atomizer, I guess) went all stinky/funky I changed things out and tried Stawberry Kiwi. I was really surprised by how much I love this...I don't as a rule like fruit flavors. But this is sort of fresh and...I don't know, light maybe? (all Maple Leaf Vapes, btw). So many flavors....it's a whole new world!

You might want to check Taste Your Juice and PBusardo's latest on the latest on the Kanger T3's. It would appear that there are some real differences.

The commentary on the Kangers stops at minute 7:10

Well that was sobering, but it's great that he is clear about the differences...I'll have to see which ones I get. I love this guy! What an engaging speaker...he's like the energizer bunny of vape!

I think you're right about us being spoiled:) I'm whining about too much information, but that's a good problem to have. I feel lucky to have so much access to an existing knowledge base, seriously. Free exchange of information isn't necessarily the norm in some fields...this is an extraordinarily generous group.

A mod, huh? Give me a month;)!

You're doing good Dashe, I like the way you think, just like I was when I got into vaping a year ago. Trust me, it does get easier with the jargon. :?: You may also want to try the T2, I find them pretty nice, and as suggested the eGo twists are great.

Thanks, that's encouraging! You know, I don't know why I got the T3 s instead of the T2s? And I ordered really fast...a bad way to shop. I didn't think hubby would leap on the vape-train so fast, so I wanted to be sure to get enough stuff to avoid interruption. Now I'll keep an ongoing list that I can keep updating, as well as a journal to record flavor likes and dislikes and so forth.
