So, I have a satin blue Provai with the blue led. I love it, I only use it, and my vaping life is doing just fine for now...

But, I have noticed that sometimes when I push the button, I get this super high pitch, but quiet noise. It is very subtle, but sometimes when I vape in silence it slightly irritates me. I am wondering is this just mine, or has anyone else noticed it. Like I said, I only notice it when the house is very quiet; but, those are the times when I would like my vaping to be as zen as possible, and that sounds slightly interferes with that.

I hope other Provari users recognize that I love this pv, it's just a small issue. I just want to know if it has happened to anyone else?

Hmmm... Should be fine, but coil resistance lowers when it heats up. 2.2 ohms at 4.8 is 2.1 amps. Have you checked the Ao on the Provari? Just because they are rated at 2.2, doesn't mean they still are after they have been used a bit.

Go to this page and put in the resistance and voltage: Ohm's Law / Watt's Law Calculator

Yeah, I always check the Ao rating. It only moves down .1 every so often, but ends up back to 2.2ohms. I think it has something to do with the saturation of the coil?

Nope, never noticed this, and I regularly vape in a very quiet environment (my home). Are you using some kind of ato/carto that is unusual in some way?

Boost circuits do sometimes produce an Audible tone, but I've never noticed one with the provari.

Nope, just the Joye attys I get from ProVape. And, they always read at 2.1 and 2.2.

Thats the same atty set up I use... I run at 4.8 volts... No noise at all... You should contact Provape.....

Yep, that is my next step. I don't really care, but I just hope that it isn't an indicator of something off. Thanks you guys!

Yea it happens . THere are various reasons but its nothing to be concerned about. Has to do with frequency with built in PWM and with a specific atty/carto combination. Runnning it at higher amps can do it, the battery life can do it. It doesnt happen all the time just when your using that specific combination.

i just googled the same problem and found this thread. My provary V2(less than month old) does the same high pitched noise but only with certain cartos and when i push the voltage higher(no errors though). Did u find out anything new about this - can you(or anyone else with info about this) plz PM me, i am thinking about contacting provape.

This happened to me on my provari vv .... i was told it was something about dirty threads on the endcap, so I cleaned the endcap really good and the high pitch went away...

WOOOO...very interesting! My end caps are slightly dirty, though I hate to admit it...going to clean and check.

Thanks you guys for not letting this thread fall into the dark hole of threads.
