I'll be giving a persuasive speech about the benefits of PVs and Halo in particular for my communications class at my college.

Would anyone be willing to say a few words on how Halo has helped keep you off of analogs?

Also, if Cinder reads this, is there any way to get some Halo business cards to hand out? (I had 14 of them from previous orders, but handed all but 4 out.)

Thanks!

What a great idea! I would be happy to send you some business cards :) PM me your shipping info and let me know how many you would like! Also, I agree, it would be great if you could show some support testimonials for your fellow vapers! Let us know what kind of information you are looking for and when you would need people to respond by.

Halo Nation: Please feel free tell your story here (according to Lifewhackers guidelines), and I'll pick a random winner to get a free bottle in exchange for your help!

lets be truthful here, while it would be funny, dare i say HILARIOUS....i'd be way too off tangent and losing focus to form anything more than a coherent story longer than a few words.

sure i could tell you it was a mere matter of days that as a 20 year smoker, both ways up hill, my congestion cleared up and i could breathe again.

of course i could point out that my sense of taste returned and now bacon is every bit as bacony as it used to be when i was child, growing up in the wild gooseberry farmlands of estonia, wherever and whatever that is.

yes i can also say i saved a little money over my initial investment, of course i just use that money to bet on quadriplegic greyhound races....i never seem to win.

of course my car, clothes, and apartment no longer smell like a coal mine after 300 sweaty workers decide to have a spa day in it.

and of course the myriad of success i've had when people see me vaping and exclaim with wonder, like children on christmas morning, that i have some strange technology in my hands thats cool and life saving. then the sheer panic when they realize i dont wear pants.

but what does that all really mean in the grand scheme of things?

seriously...what? i'm clueless.

also,
what was i talking aboot again?

I appreciate the help, Cinder!

My speech is November 25th, so I have a few weeks to collect your answers and plug some into my speech.

My Questions for everyone:

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched?

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs?

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV?

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit?

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place?

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?)

7. How did you find Halo?

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best!

I very much appreciate the help from everyone!

1. How long were you using analogs before you switched? 39 Years, with several quits, once 2.5 years

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs? 5 weeks

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV? No!!

4. Saved using a PV verses analog? Nothing yet, still underwater! As of 2 days ago, saved 135, spent 195, so 60 in the hole. However, the start up for hardware is there and won't be repeated for a while, and I wasn't a heavy smoker, a $9 pack lasted 2 plus days. If I was a pack a day, I'd be about $100 ahead. (Having said that, I just dropped another $140 on gear and juice.) But it's not about the money. I quit stinkies. When all is said and done, I'll be ahead net by year's end!

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place? Wanted to stop smoking.

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?) Yes, breathing, better tasting (after the dead tongue effect), better sense of smell, but bit of sore throat.

7. How did you find Halo? web search, found EECR (Electronic Cigarette Consumer Reviews) plus some other reviews.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best!
So far, Halo rocks. Solid hardware, yummy juices. Had a tank issue, they sent me a replacement fairly quick. There are lots of choices out there, but without any physical B&M store near me, I wanted something I could trust. Halo has not let me down.

Best of luck on your speech. Practice in front of a few honest friends. Memorize and ice your first 2 minutes, by then the stage fright is done. If you can, video the speech and post it here. I'd definitely watch it!!!

I very much appreciate the help from everyone!

1)I have been smoking since I was 12. Started in 1969. I have quit on and off my whole life. The longest I was able to stay off cigs was about a year. I always went back.
2)3)Over 3 weeks now vaping and no tobacco cigs.
4) I haven't save much yet, but I knew I had to lay out money for the gear first. Now that I know how it works, I can easily see I will save in the long run.
5)I was told to quit or it will kill me by my doctor many times. Tried patches, didn't work. I needed to feel that pressure in my lungs and exhale the smoke.
6)Health benefits for me started right away. Analogs were causing my feet and hands to go numb. Between my diabetes and bad circulation from cigarette smoking I already had most of my left foot amputated. With vaping, no more numbness. Better circulation. No more hacking cough.
7)I started searching on line for info on e-cigs. Halo had a presence that was one of the first I came across. Several e-cig forums and videos recommended them as a solid company to at least start with.
8)Halo has good products at a reasonable price for the beginner. I like that their juice is strongly flavored and does not need steeping. I wish I could say they were the best, but the industry is too new and there are many areas they could improve in. Halo is however, a company that will be a strong player in the e-cig world if they continue to improve.

The simplicity of accessory choices, an excellent performance, and a cost efficient solution (Triton). Also, a satisfyingly sophisticated line of e-liquids.

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched?

I smoked cigarettes for about 30 years, mostly 2 1/2 packs worth.

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs?

6 months. Picked up the PV and walked clean away from cigarettes.

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV?

NO.

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit?

My stop smoking calculator estimates over $2,000! Specifically, $2.3K, but I had to spend that $300 on supplies -- not a bad trade off.

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place?

Cost and Health. Living on a tight budget, yet I needed my nicotine. I watched an unrelated YoutTube video whereas a person who I trusted his opinion on stated that he used an "Ego battery e-cig" to quit smoking. It intrigued me, so I searched for answers, which led me to Halo.

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?)

Yes. My sinuses were clear within a week; the phlegm-y rattle in my chest disappeared within a month, I could do strenuous activity without trouble breathing, and my sense of taste and smell improved. Also lost the stains on my teeth and fingers, and had more energy.

7. How did you find Halo?

Started on FINS cig-alikes, but knew they wouldn't work. So I went in search of "ego batteries" that I had heard about. After days spent on Google and YouTube looking for vendors, products and reviews, I discovered ECF and HALO. HALO had just recently released the Triton Kit and after weighing cost of similar products, please the unknown factor of e-liquid -- HALO excelled in reviews for both, so I invested in HALO as my first real e-cig/PV -- and I'm still love using the products 6 months later.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best!

High Quality products which include Hardware and Eliquid, their professionalism and business model of "small catalog -- HIGH QUALITY." They also have some of the most unique and complex flavors of e-liquid available today.

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched? 6 years

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs? Almost 2 months

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV? No

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit? As of today, $4.42. That includes the starter kit that I bought in September. It also includes several mini tanks that I haven't even opened yet and probably enough juice to last me a couple more weeks. I don't expect to spend much in the next couple months so that number is probably going to go up soon. Another thing to note is that my numbers are pretty low since I was only spending about $3.00 per day on cigarettes.

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place? I wanted to quit smoking to prevent future health problems, but it was always a social thing for me. Whenever I tried to quit, I would get around a bunch of smokers and take it up again. My coworkers decided to quit smoking as a group, so I started looking into vaping as an alternative.

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?) YES! I don't wake up congested any more. I don't wheeze any more. The thing that really surprises me is the way the world smells. I couldn't smell anything before apparently. Now, I can tell when someone has been in a vehicle with a smoker because of the smell.

7. How did you find Halo? Googled for best e-cigarette vendors.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best! Halo makes good quality products and their prices are either comparable or lower than other vendors.

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched? 33 years!

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs? 1 month, 29 days!

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV? Absolutely not!

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit? Approximately $800.00

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place? I realized I could keep consuming nicotine CLEANLY!

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?) Yes! Morning cough is COMPLETELY gone, better able to breathe while jogging, more stamina and strength at the gym, less fatigue, and increased sense of smell and taste.

7. How did you find Halo? Used Google to search for best e-cigs and then cross referenced with YouTube video reviews.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best! Great products from devices to e-liquids, great customer service, and a great fan base especially here on the ECF.

One more thing, for me, vaping satisfies. (Halo Triton 12mg nic).

I mean, I had quit cigs 7 or 8 times, between 2 months to over a year in duration. But I almost always wanted a cig. Craved just one, and of course, would lead to my downfall.

But since Sept 24th, I have not craved the analog. In other words, For the first time since 1974, I have not wanted a smoke. And I've been near them, smelled them (things that would have derailed me before).

Yes, I've replaced one addiction for another, cigs vs Vape. And it's a good thing.

1. I smoked for approx. 20+ years
2. I have been using a PV 52 days and counting...
3. I do not use both analogs and PV
4. About 80.00 a month
5.The reason I switched to using a PV is quite a personal experience. I lost BOTH of my parents to lung cancer. My Father died 26 years ago at the age of 51. My Mom passed away 2 years ago at the age of 69. I am an only child. I miss my parents terribly. I don't want my son, who is also an only child, to go through losing his Mom PREMATURELY. I have to stop typing now...very emotional.

6.I have noticed NUMEROUS health benefits since I've been using my PV, such as: A keener sense of taste and smell, I can take DEEP, cleansing breaths, improved physical stamina, clearer skin, no more 'smoker's cough', and my personal favorite: I can hit the high notes now when I sing! :)

7.My husband and I found HALO through much research, and watching many, many, many videos on Youtube. The name just kept popping up all the time.

8.HALO is my favorite company because of the quality of their products. When I ventured out on this 'quest' to find the ultimate PV experience, I knew I wanted it to be top of the line, and user friendly. HALO fit that criteria with PERFECTION. I am so happy I found this company. It has literally saved my life.
