I've been a good girl since around July. Only ordered a few boxes of coils that we needed. Well, it came to the point that we needed to replinish the eliquid stock, and, as usual, I went a little crazy. Tried (and trying) a few new vendors, and already have a few definite reorders. Took advantage of Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales at VapeWild, ITC Vapes, Mt. Baker and Sun Vapers. Still within budget considering that a few of the items are intended as gifts from me to the daughter's boyfriend, and also considering that I will not HAVE to order again for a few months (aside from any definite hits flavorwise that we decide we cannot do without). All things considered, I am happy with what I got for the price I paid.

Hi everyone. Been reading this thread here and there, trying to keep my vaping costs low. Been doing a lot of diy, and it begs the question. Where's the cheapest place to get syringes? I took part in a couple of black friday sales, but nothing like last year. I was looking at the ones at tractor supply, was wondering if that's my best bet?

I can buy from my vet for even cheaper.

I have always wondered why things cost 2x to 3x more in vaping stores than in non vaping related places.

I've noticed this with a LOT of items, not just syringes.

The big thing that made me realize this was the notecore i4 charger. I feel like I had been seeing it for about 30, maybe 25 at all vape sites I checked, and 17 at a flashlight site. Maybe I'm just bad at searching, but I've noticed it too.

Oh, and let's not forget welding wire "gplat" and Fiber Freaks rayon cellulose :D

I haven't exactly priced them but remembered seeing this one marked down the other day. Cartomizer Punch

I wish you could see the smile on my face -- I love ordering from desert vapes, because of their awesome collection of driptips, AND they're approved sellers for AW batteries. Now, if that sale on the carto punch will just stay in force till I actually have the money to buy it! :D

Thx!

My guess is that they are getting rid of them because very few people use them anymore. As long as they stay in stock, the price might go down.

Well, I realized something that actually will keep this plan from ever being realized, and I'm really glad I realized it before I bought a carto puncher: nobody seems to sell flanged cartos that aren't punched -- the unflanged kind really wouldn't work in my UDCT, so I guess I'm stuck with buying pre-punched from IBT.

But, having considered this, I'm now thinking of looking at FastTech, to see if they offer flanged single-coil cartos in larger quantities; if they do, maybe I can get some of those for xmas.

Be careful with that. I bought a bunch from them, and they didn't work-- at all. The flange was all wrong.

Yikes. Thx for the tip! I know it has to be just the right shape, or it won't engage in the "slot" thing at the bottom of the tank -- rounded sides one way, straight sides the other.

I wonder if IBT offers any further qty. discount than their usual, if you buy even more.

Ok, I just checked at FT -- they do have the Smok cartos, with the right flange, but they're the dual-coil kind, which I don't like. The other ones, yeah, the flange is that round kind, instead of being rounded in one direction and straight the other. They don't seem to offer the single-coil XL smok cartos at all. :(

Actually, I think I would be more concerned about the actual resistance of the cartomizer. Last time I bought protank heads from FT, the resistance was so high.....in the 6 ' s and higher..
As far as the flange, I have used flanged ones on IB tanked tanks, which technically have no slot, with no problem.... Do you have an ohms meter?

As far as cartomizers are concerned, I have a question.... I ordered a dozen or so from mad vapes last month, and when I got them in, there was literally no polyfill in them. Contacted them, they apologized and sent more, and the new ones had no polyfill either!
I have tried to use them, but I can't seem to prime them just right and it burns the coil within three pulls... afraid to mention it to them again...

Do you all have any missing the polyfill?

I bought some from the B&M, none of their's had filler material. It was OK in my instance, as I just wanted to use them to sample some juice.

I think it's a new thing; I think I saw it advertised somewhere, it might have even been MadVapes, since I get their newsletter. I just can't figure out how it would work; in effect, it would just be a vertical-coiled tank, wouldn't it? Inside another tank? That's a head scratcher.

I don't know... it was really ridiculous, and I like the store in general. They had this tiny little gripper box that was about 48mm tall and ran off an 18350... only issue was it took cartos. I told the guy I'll take it if you can sell me a few cartos to go with it (I was being cute, I figured they must have the cartos)... went through everything they had... none had filler and not would fit the little gripper... they didn't even have the right shape toward the 510 connection... they were all 'flanged' outward and wouldn't fit. It was a sad day. Well, I'm sure it wasn't a big deal for him, I had already spent enough and he only missed out on about $50 for the gripper and cartos. I go in there every week and he hasn't bought the cartos and has buried that box under other items. He needs to just put it on the clearance table... I'm not sure who all would buy that when they could buy an MVP2 or such for about the same price any more.

I have only heard about using the cartos with tanks... I figured that's what you are doing.

I think it's time I join the group.
I went completely smoke free 11 weeks ago... pack a day smoker @ $7.50 a pack I have now not spent $577.50 on cigarettes.
However I just totaled up my orders in the last 12 weeks since I made the switch and I have spent a little over $900. I own (or owned and gifted to others) 3 Vision Spinner 2s, 4 heavy duty pen batteries, 4 1100 mah stick batteries, 2 variable voltage batteries from China (I don't even know what they're called) 3 Kanger Aerotanks, 2 protank 2s, 2 k1s, dozens of cheap plastic tanks that didn't last, coils for everything I bought, and then the ridiculous amount of juice, orders from Mt. Baker, ITC, DeeJ,Vape Wild, Nicoticket, Five Pawns, Viking Vapors.
At this point I am finally settling in with 2 Isticks, 2 Naut minis, 1 Naut, a couple of Aerotanks and k1s. If I don't buy a single thing for the next 10 weeks I should at least break even... I wasted so much money on stuff that just didn't work for me:(
I have spent the last year losing weight, getting in shape and now becoming a non-smoker. After 27 years of smoking it's way past time. I am actually buying my house back from my ex this spring and really need to get my head in the game financially.
So my goal for the next 10 weeks is no more vape purchases unless it's for Naut coils!
