don`t have ohm meter, made my first coil last night. how many ohms is this?

i built a coil in my protank II using 32ga kanthal but don`t have a meter but i will get one soon. threaded some cotton in there and it vapes quite good. i made 4 wraps but i notice the stock coil looks like 6 wraps. with 4 wraps on 32 gauge wire what do you think is the ohms? any help with a guesstimate? thanks!!!

ya i knew you were kidding when i saw your ohm "guess" and win i have a vamo 5 on the way on the slowboat from fasttech so i got the ohm meter thing covered. the kanthal arrived yesterday and just had to try one. twas my first one and it is vaping better than the stock 1.8 coils. i used cotton with no flavor wicks on top.

Very true. Doubling the diameter (as in going from a 1mm coil to a 2 mm coil) doubles the circumference which also doubles the resistance of the coil itself.

Very true. Doubling the diameter (as in going from a 1mm coil to a 2 mm coil) doubles the circumference which also doubles the resistance of the coil itself.

Well, not to pick on the post, but rather to make the logic clear...
Doubling the LEG (just the leg) reduces the resistance. (I know that's not the part you were talking about). But yes, bigger coil loops = longer wire = more resistance.
But what I'm also talking about is "spreading the electricity" for a short bit of the wire...at the positive leg...by doubling over say 2 or 3 mm of the positive leg and twisting it around itself to make it double thick there. If you could solder it you would (can't really solder Kanthal well). So it won't get hot (or as hot) since there's much less resistance on that part of the "run". Then the wire goes to "normal" for the coil part. The final "leg" of the journey is probably just normal wire since it's the ground side but if you get burning there then that could be doubled too. Think "thick legs and thin coil".
