I just picked up a SvoMesto kayfun 3.1 and it has been good. My first Kayfun.
No leaks at all, I let it lay on it's side all night,, not a leak at all.
I have taken it apart several times now cause I am getting harsh hits.
But I narrowed it down to my juice, not the Kayfun.
Quite impressed with the Kayfun 3.1.

This is a clone of the original Kayfun, which, if I am not mistaken is a clone of the Russian 91%? or is that the other way around
I am not sure.

But the SvoMesto is built in Germany and the machining is so good that you can not see the seams at all.
The threading is smooth as silk.
I mean you have to be looking right at them to see the tiny lines. From just a few inches away, it's looks like a solid piece.

I generally like to only buy originals, such as the original Vision ViVi Nova's, some of the clones are garbage and fall apart.
And I want my money going to the original designer.

But I looked at the Russian 91% and the Kayfun, but the SvoMesto seemed better and I like the size.

For me, I will only find shops now where I can put my hands on things. I will rarely buy online anymore unless I have to.
And that will depend on the item.

For the record, I never would have bought a Kayfun without first getting my hands on it.

I bought an IBTanked, and I am not impressed. Looks good, but I just really do not like Carto's.
Bought an AGAT-2 and have done everything to try and get it working,
I am not sure I would have bought it if I had gotten my hands on it first.
I have others, and sold others that I would never have bought had I picked it up in my hands first.

You've got it a little backwards.
SvoMesto is the original designer and maker of the Kayfun. The Russian is a clone of Svo's Kayfun (no, it was NOT designed by anyone at Svomesto, it is a clone)
Anything other than a true SvoMesto Kayfun is a clone/counterfeit.
The Russian while it is a clone took a life of it's own when it added the AFC to the side. SvoMesto copied that idea and created the KFL+
I have 2 authentic KFL+'s and had a Russian 91%. I agree, the quality of the true KFL is better than the Russian. So now my boss got a free Russian :D

As for the rest of the thread. I'm with the OP 110%. Nuff said by me.

Junk is junk! There is just as much OEM junk out there as there is clone junk.

I have about a dozen mechanical mods, only two out of the bunch didn't need SOMETHING changed/fixed. One was my Reo (OEM), and the other was my Caravela (clone).

Also just because something works the way the manufacturer wants it to work doesn't mean that it will work the way the end user wants it to.

I'm completely happy with my clones. Nzonic, Electric Angel, 2 - kayfun lite +'s, and most recently an Aqua... all by EHPro and I love them. A buddy of mine has an authentic Electric Angel and I believe my EHPro clone is just as good if not better. I have nothing to compare the Nzonic to but I really like the way it performs.

I have a wife and four kids so I am lucky if I can even afford a clone. The quality has been a little hit and miss on a few I've had and some require a little tweaking but all have served me well. The best I can suggest is to buy from a store or website that offers a solid warranty then try your best to break it while still under warranty. The reviews of clones on this forum can also save you a lot of trouble in the long run. Best of wishes to the OP and I hope you can share pictures of the 'real deal' with people like me who can't afford them.
Same here, in fact the most expensive mod I own is a $30 Electric Angel clone and it worked awsome for about 6 months until the plating wore off, I just can't justify spending $200+ on an ecig when I can be buying things for my daughter or saving money for bills. I will stick with my shoddy clones because they keep me off the smokes and thats what it all really comes down to. best of luck to the OP

As of now I am done buying clones. NEVER BUY A CLONE AGAIN!

Nothing wrong with clones per se, just like the e-cig in general, they will continue to evolve and improve. That being said, most of my issues with clones are the toppers (atties). But some are good and some are bad, just like legit stuff. Some clones improve on the originals. Using glass instead of plastic tanks is one example. If ya gonna charge $150-200 why can't a person get glass/pyrex?

i don't have a mod collection like some ppl but anything i buy from now on will be a clone

i refuse to pay $150-$200 on a piece of tubing that screws in an out at both ends...i paid out of pocket over $100 for one mod and will never do it again because i've had clones that worked much better

however i might reconsider my stance if companies or ppl start putting out good mods at reasonable prices ie: the legacy...the only other one i'd buy that isn't a clone i don't think is the mini e-cig

but i'm the wrong person to ask, at this point i'm cheap, my liquid is mtbaker because i like it but also because it's cheap, the rba's get used like twice a week so i'm not about to drop $100 on that

My thoughts too. To me it is a metal tube that houses a battery. If you look at the major ones, that is all it is. I refuse to believe a tube made out the same metal from two different companies would have a 10 to 20x better result *based on price. The only original I would ever think of spending cash on is an Otto Carver.

If you really want to go cheap on liquid mix it yourself. It is easy to do as long as you don;t have to every measurement down to the nanometer.

haha i'm cheap but i also don't trust myself enough to make juice properly or really have the time either, blah

kind of why i don't get crazy with builds on rba's, i just don't have time

my fathers happy i quit smoking and vape now, but he's not sold on doing that either, if he was i'm sure with his backround he could make me a mod no problem haha just metal tubes and threads

Clones, clones of clones. The harder the squeeze, the lower the quality.
If you spend enough time surfing around you might get to the bottom of the pond.
Nameless sweatshops, where B- or oven C-grade output gets cobbled together,
squeezing the last fraction of a cent out of the price. And there's buyers.
If it looks like a duck, it gets bought and sold, pretending to the unwary that it really is a duck....

Chat up some other customers of that B&M when the staff/owner is out of earshot.
Find out if you hit a real bad streak. Or if other buyers have the same issues.
If the latter, said B&M might be a candidate for your personal blacklist.
Then they won't be around for long anyway. Tweaking the profit margin too hard at the expense of *some* level of quality usually backfires: staff that's busy handling rejects and complaints isn't selling anything.

I recently purchased a Kayfun Lite+, Ehpro clone. It's perfect. The fit and finish are immaculate. My buddy has an original. I can't tell them apart, actually, mine might be a little better! But that may not be the case in all situations.

is this the v2? do you have made in Germany stamped on the bottom? how is the airflow? do you have a Russian 91 to compare it to?
