Now we are getting somewhere. I agree with you. I did mention ordering from Gearbest in the past. What I didn’t mention was that I don’t any longer based on the fact they are in China. They did get me the products in about 2 weeks time, but American companies do it in 3-5. I’ve had good customer experience with a few companies. USV and Geekvape are two that come to immediate mind. They got it right and they get a returning customer. Anyhow, to my knowledge the item has already been shipped and is apparently on the world’s slowest tugboat. I’ll get it at some point and it’ll probably never make it out of the box. I’ll take it to the vape shop and hopefully trade it for a new rda or rta and get some satisfaction in the end. Then the new RTA will break this whole thing will start over. Lol
Someone who keeps saying they are done and keeps posting is not actually done.

You state that you have done all you set out to do, and you've like made it super clear that you hate the company.

So, done?

Anna
That was a back and forth with Opinionated. I see you read that part of the post though.

I do hope you get a resolve, but it's not very surprising that this has happened. I just seen this item for 23 bucks online, which means it probably costs 10 bucks to make and is why I personally dont bother wasting my money on items like this. In the long run it's best to save up for an extra week or so and buy a good quality device

Just to chime in, your experience with them sounds like my experience with all the Chinese companies. I've never gotten any real support over the years, with Aspire, Kanger, Innokin (even though people swear they'll help, they didn't for me) so I stopped even trying. It's just frustrating, and as some have mentioned, I think going with a reputable vendor is key.

I'd highly suggest using VaporDNA for any important purchases going forward. They're a tad more money than other vendors, so I buy random stuff elsewhere sometimes, but for any mod or higher priced item, I stick with them. They will help you out if an issue comes up. Great customer support. Obviously doesn't help you in this instance, but just some advice going forward. Best of luck.

I buy better stuff for myself. This was for my gf who just wanted something dainty and simple at the time. She’s upgraded to a box mod and I don’t use sticks myself, although the Nunchaku has been noticed. Jai Haze had great things to say about that one.

I will definitely remember that. I’ve also had great experience with VapeWild out of Texas. Great service so far.

That really stinks, you try and do a good thing by buying her something and this happens. I think they are a pretty big company and hopefully will do the right thing..good luck

I've always had stellar support from the US vape gear manufacturers I've ordered from. Sad there are not many left.....

What I wish some of these major / mega Chinese companies would do is have customer support in the country they sell in. Would not even need to be a large operation. Email support and units for exchange / warrantees..

They are making cash hand over fist so spend a few bones and up the support game..

Heck foreign companies (foreign to the US) like GG, GP, Svoemesto and Atmistique are just a few examples of stellar support from across the world. Why can't China manufacturers do it?

Yeah but these inexpensive items aren't really made to last.

Most of the mods I own are more than 100 dollars each and I own a couple RTA's that I spent over 100 dollars on..

Do I own some things that weren't pricey and didn't break in a month? Well yeah but they were heavily researched items that I planned and paid attention to what people (actual daily users of the products not reviewers) were saying in some cases for more than a year before purchase.

This industry is replacing your cigarettes. As such, your saving a ton of money even if you have to buy a new relatively inexpensive mod every single month...

I believe most people aren't understanding that..

I actually had better luck dealing with a manufacturer in China than dealing with my local vape shop. My local vape shop told me that my Suorin Drop was normal and they declined to replace it. I contacted Suorin and they agreed that it was defective and they sent me a new one.

I judge these low dollar Chinese vape manufacturers more on their willingness and effort to help rather than how long it takes. Suorin was slow but great to deal with. Voopoo was difficult to deal with and it took forever. They tried to get me to accept a coupon for their store where everything is much more expensive than retail. It would have been cheaper for me to throw out the defective item and buy from a US store. They did eventually send me a replacement but it took 3 tries. They sent me someone else's tracking twice.

As far as stores, I've gotten better service from Fasttech than most US sellers. I was blown away that they even photograph the package before they ship it out--haha! Before I started vaping, I would have never bought from a store located in China. My opinion has changed.

Best way to do it.. Vote with your $$$.... If enough do it, they'll either fix issues or go belly up...

Only problem with that ,there are way too dam many Evolv fanbois running around
I'm just a drop in the bucket, but i will never have that kind of irritation again !!

but, thanks to evolv i am now building my own mods
when they die it takes a few minutes and few dollars to fix and back on the road again

On 09 Oct 2018, I started the process of a warranty claim with Vaporesso. The item was a Cascade Mini starter kit that I had purchased for my girlfriend. It was purchased on 29 August 2018. It quickly started frying coils. Not the way it should, slowly and over time, but I’m talking about an immediate surge that left the coils black and unusable. The final straw was when the the stick was sitting upright and untouched on a desk and just fired on its own. So anyhow, I start the warranty process. The company is in China, which means you really only get to send one email per day back and forth unless you’re up at 2am. About the 2nd or 3rd email exchange, I was asked to try the stick with another tank to see if the problem was the mod or the tank. Okay??? It’s not the tank. Do I really have to explain that the tank just sits there waiting for power to be applied. Anyhow, I told her (the rep) that I had owned this product for less than 2 months and it had been faulty for at least a month of that time. I said it was not my job to troubleshoot their defective products, but if they wanted it back, I would send it and they could troubleshoot it. My job is to purchase and vape. So they agreed to send a replacement. They then told me that they didn’t have the mini in stock but would send a silver or blue full size. My girlfriend like the smaller version that she had picked in rainbow and didn’t want another color or even size. They said they would have them in stock in about a week and would send it when received. About 2-3 weeks later, we get a call. Still not in stock but now they can send a full size rainbow option. My girlfriend agreed that that would be fine. Why so long to call back? That was at least 6 weeks ago and we still haven’t received a replacement. This is total bull..... I have purchased a few products that have shipped from China and received them in less than 2 weeks. I have also had issues with other products from other companies and have had the items replaced in a matter of days. I was also not asked to troubleshoot the defective products prior to replacement. This is the reply I received when informing them that I wasn’t happy with it being 6 weeks or so since they said they shipped and I still haven’t received the replacement.

Dear Jason,
Thanks for your reply!
I am so sorry to hear your comments.
As we know, this is normal aftersales process.
Or you can just claim warranty from your own retailer if it is complicate for you now.

So it’s normal for it to take this long??? Ridiculous! I am done with Vaporesso. I had even stood in a vape shop before and encouraged a customer to buy a Vaporesso product when they were deciding on a mod. Never again. Customer service goes a long way. This stuff is electronic and things can and will go wrong. That’s were a company has the opportunity to excel or fail, and Vaporesso, I hope someone in your company sees this and realizes that it is indeed a fail. I may be one customer, but a lot of people in the vaping community are going to see this, so maybe you should tighten up the “normal aftersales process” a bit.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Normally we arranged the replacement by post within 7 days after we received the replacement form. But there might be a delay cause the product was out of stock in factory. Our colleague might have had mis-communication with you about changing the colors. So it was delayed. I will check the replacement status for you asap and get back to u.

I understand being frustrated with a company over warranty related service but this forum (ECF) has rules against people making threads like this against registered forum suppliers who have their own forums where you can post to resolve issues with them or speak to them about their products.

Vaporesso has their own forum on this website, and cannot post outside of their forum section - even to defend themselves, so it's morally wrong to not give them a chance to speak for themselves and answer your post.

Vaporesso

^^^^ there is their forum. Post there. Forum rules.
Thanks! Since the thread moved to our forum already, we will take care of this! It's appreciated for your kind words

I found these conversations interesting to say the least. I'm also very tired but wanted to read on because I'm in the process with Vaporesso right now. My device arrived DOA. I have another Vaporesso that works flawlessly endlessly. Customer service was good (cordial and helpful with instructions). I followed the instructions to a "T" and now it's the waiting game. The tracking number shows it sitting at the China EMS Facility since December 23, 2018. At least I know that Vaporesso did their part and sent it out. Why it hasn't left China yet, who the heck knows but the customer rep offered her help going forward, if needed. I have doubts about her knowledge of the EMS Facility but we'll see.

I chose to deal with the manufacturer directly for two reasons: A friend's recommendation who had a successful experience and Fasttech, the vendor, has similar requirements as Vaporesso for returns. So, why not avoid repackaging and waiting for my broken device to reach Fasttech and just deal directly with manufacturer who doesn't require a return? Seemed like a no brainer to me. Fasttech would have to contact Vaporesso anyway and possibly wait for a replacement if they didn't have any in stock.

Okay, need to wrap it up with this: I received my replacement today when Vaporesso estimated (approx. 3 weeks). Idk if being nice had anything to do with it or a mistake was made but they replaced my Armour Pro mod with a full kit! I guess being polite never hurt anyone, eh?
