Doomed to get a Vamo V5??

Guys I'm really disappointed, I decided to look further into mods the other day and apparently the Vamo is the ONLY mod I've seen that meets the requirements I want (cylindrical tube (NOT telescope), stainless steel, VV&VW, 510+eGo threading, 18650 compatible, and screen). The things that really bother me about the Vamo are the weak threads, tank gap, chrome played brass "pieces" and size (i like big mods but its like... unnecessarily big.)
I'm actually considering jumping right into mech mods simply because I've yet to find an APV tube that meets my needs. If someone can shed some light on this thread please do. I sold my ego/t3s setup the other day, been almost 24hrs without it and really miss it (made a profit tho).

You could check out Provari, they meet those requirements, and anything will thread anything with an adapter. A lot of APVs fit those requirements though. I'm thinking the SID would too.

I would go with that but it lacks VW. Something i want from my APV.

The tank gap on the Vamo is sooooo ugly tho.
As for the Zmax, I can't stand the telescope look.
I know I'm being really picky, but surely there's a way to get everything I'm looking for.

I love the Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3 and V5. But I can understand someone not wanting a telescopic tube as they require some extra care in adjustment and maintenance. The Sigelei Zmax V2 is still in production and has the same performance specs as the V3 and V5 with a standard tube. I don't know if later production V2s have the V3/5 removable top cap, though.

a semovar would meet those needs except for ego threading which u could get an adapter for, but its a little pricey.

It's not like the vamo 5 is the only mod you will ever buy, why not try it. I love all of mine, but the vamo is a favorite. This isn't about profit or loss it's about staying away from cigs. The rest is gratis.

I have a Vamo V5 and decided to get a Lambo 6 (super cheap at the moment) and have never been happier with an APV. Just get the right batteries for it (20A+) and it is good to go from 1 watt to 20 watts. One button operation that is quick and easy and about a 1/4 longer than a Provari. Mine is stainless and works excellent. Now I've had no problems with the Vamo other than a bit large and heavy to haul around all day in my pocket unless in 18350 mode which then requires I carry extra batteries. The price seems to be so cheap due to a bad review from PBusardo when he had problems above 15 watts. It was discovered the batteries he used was 10A max which work to about 15 watts but not much higher.

I like the vamo v5, it does what it's supposed to do. It is big, no doubt about that. I used an 18350 in mine today for the first time and lasted through the work day on a battery. Made a big difference in the length and still vaped good. I use a mech most of the time now but I still keep the vamo close.

When the Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V5 went into production last summer the Telescopic V3 got upgraded without a version change. One of those upgrades was the removable top cap which also changed the 510/eGo connector. Sigelei switched to 510/eGo threading machined from one piece of stainless steel. That eliminated problems Sigelei had with the brass eGo threading piece.

I'd say look into the new production V2. Varitube has them and I'm sure other dealers do as well. The only caveat for the V2 would be if it still has the old style brass eGo threading that could come loose and fall out. On the other hand, I have a 10 month old V3 with the brass eGo threading and it hasn't fallen out although I only use the 510 connector. Vendor sites are notoriously out of date when it comes to keeping up with Sigelei production modifications so if you find a V2 you like, ask about the eGo threading. The new production V2s don't have the Provari-like pips anymore from what I hear.

I have 2 of the version 2 zmax and prefer them over the telescopic types. Both were from FT and I've had no problems.

First I'll start with the fact that I use almost exclusively mechs now. You better know what not to do before you get one. Now I have to ask, why does it have to be everything on your list or nothing? You have to have vw. Is that more important than good threads or having the ability to screw a tank all the way down? I feel like you have set up a set of requirements that are almost impossible to meet. The Provari does everything you ask except VW. There are several that do it all except for take an 18650 battery. Truthfully you need to do some more research and find which is most important. I personally would hate the size of a Vamo but the little quirks are the things that would make me throw it in a river. Just my couple of pennies.

Most apv's are going to have a gap. You can always get a mech mod and use a kick to get vw. Everything will sit flush. But no ego threads.

My friend had the same argument. Then we did the math. You have more control over wattage with .1 volt increments. On his mvp he gets .9 more watts at his coil qith 5v than pushing its 11 watt limit. Food for thought. I NEVER use vw when I have vv.

Well, there's always the evic and SID - vv/vw, tube, extensions (not telescoping).

Personally, I'd go with either the Zmax or the SVD. The Zmax, in 350 mode, shows no signs of telescoping, and in 500 mode, has a very slight gap. It's also quite compact for a regulated device.
