So I've been using double coil on my Petri for quite a while and use it with a Snow Wolf.
I always wondered because I am running double 0.5 ohms, does this mean I need to double my wattage output also?

So if I used 30watts for a single 0.5 ohm, a double 0.5 ohm is 60 watts to get the same affect?

Thanks in advance.

Are you build 2 coils at .5 our 1. At .5 dual that would be more like .25 anyhow how I find its not always double but just play with it till u find the sweet spot but I'm guess at .5 it would be more like 45 50 watts now if
U are running 2 .5 coils that shod bring you around .25 and at that point you shod be over 100watts test your ohms with a meter

Yes - two 1-ohm coils makes a 0.5 ohm build.
Ohms are RESISTANCE - how HARD is it for electricity to flow - and it's easier to flow if there's more wire (two of them, or thicker, or fewer loops, etc). Get it?

To see how a build might vape, you can use this calculator - put in your coil details and resistance (0.5), and look at the "heat flux" thingy bottom right...

Each of these coils read 1 ohm each. Together they are at .5 ohm.

Oh, and comparing a single coil 0.5 ohm to a dual coil 0.5 ohm - they WILL be different. The single will heat up faster (less metal to heat). The dual will have more surface area - and therefore potentially more vapor.
But you'd probably run them with SIMILAR wattage...
Only similar wattage if UNregulated. Regulated you would run the double at higher wattages, to reach the same temps the single would do at low watts.
