It's much worse than it would appear from the single article referenced in this
thread. He's a full-on crackpot who relies entirely upon FUD and junk science to fuel his agenda. Amongst some people savvy in the fields of health and nutrition, his name is often written "MercoLOLa", as his pseudoscience garbage is worthy of no consideration more serious than "LOL". He makes Dr. Oz (who I often refer to as "Dr. Fraud") seem like a fountain of scientific truth by comparison.
