I just got the Crystal from Art of Exhale & thought the air hole was a little to tight for my liking. So I drilled it out to 3/32 (I think) & now it's to big. Todd suggested filling it with a epoxy & redrilling. He couldn't think of the name of what to use.

So..does any one know how & with what I can fill the air hole on a titanium rba? Any tips or trick would be greatly appreciated.

I received an RBA with the airhole enlarged to 1/16". I hated it. It was very loose, but the RBA was a very good one, so I kept trying to like it. After about 2 days, I had adjusted my vape style (fire for a second before hitting and hitting slower) and got used to it. When I tried to go back to my other RBA, it was way too tight. Now I have drilled all my RBAs. You'll be surprised at how quick you acclimate to it and the clouds are that much fuller with more air :)

JB a dark gray in color. You wouldn't want to get on the outside of the top cap... Just wipe it off before it drys...

So yea... You'll be able to see it, but it shouldn't look too bad.

If you're really concerned, you could look into dental epoxy which cures into a translucent white color. The only problem there is that it typically needs to be cored using UV light of a fairly specific wave length. Plus I'd imagine that it would be on the pricey side.

you can use plumbers epoxy as well(grey)
I would just try to get use to it I drilled mine out to 5/64 or 3/32 or a 2.33mm this is all about the same size. I did mine knowing what I was doing.
Helpful hints:
If you tilt your tank and don't let the wick go dry you will be fine.
Don't pull your drag. just pull enough to let it float into your mouth.
Sometimes I will switch up and just take a little air in on each side of the mouth piece as well.
You can also do a lung hit. Just straight to the lungs nice and slow.
A lot of people go to the 2mm holes to produce larger vapor clouds but it does take a little practice.
Just slow down your pull. To hard and the wick dries out to fast.
I have been using mine for a while now, I find it hard to get a burnt taste or the god awful taste/burn in the back of your throat that makes you cough.
keep it a SLOW drag and WET wick.
Good luck. Try to see how slow you can drag in and still pull vapor.

Don't get me wrong. I generally prefer a airier draw on rba's. However on the Crystal, 3/32 is just a little to much. The cap is so little. It kind of defeats the hole purpose of it being titanium & having such a small cap. Even pressing the button before the hit, it's just way to fluffy. I'm not getting any throat hit at all & the flavor isn't as good as before.

I guess what I'll do is tape up the outside of the hole, pierce, then fill with JB trying not to get it on the outside.

After I fill the hole & it dries, should I drill the new hole through the jb weld or completly drill a new hole? Is it possible to drill the JB without it breaking apart?

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Drill the cap hole out enough to be tapped to fit a medium sized set screw
drill proper sized hole through center of setscrew or drill out a few with diff sized holes
insert the setscrew with the sized hole you want
vape

my AGI is modded this way so i can just select the size air hole i want and screw it in. You can even buy ss set screws with holes in them of various sizes. The one in the pic is exactly what i use i have a bunch in diff sizes and all my RBA and RDA get modded like this. I like to be able to adjust myair hole by simply swaping screws with a small Allen key

i work at lowes and my store had them. Iwas stocking and saw them and went AHHH HAAAA! !!!!!!!! The idea was astounding adjustable airflow on all my rba's! !!!!! I know my store has them but i have not seen them anywhere else. Try online just tap out the hole and look up setscrews in stainless steel. If you canter find them with holes just set your drill press up with a jig to hold one and drill it out the size you want. Dont have a drill press you can drill em out with vice grips and a battery drill. But yeh i have a jig i put 10 in and just move the vice and drill out the nexet 1mm 1.5mm 2mm 2.5mm 3mm i do 2 of each so i have 2 full sets of air holes one for my agi and one for my rda

of course they Dont look as pretty unless they are screwed in flush. But some coil setups Dont allow for this and some work better with them all the way in and pointed at the coil. Sort of makes the air blow right on the coil.
