Drip Shield installation

I've been defeated by a drip shield....


I have a HH 357 long barrel and a drip shield from avid vaper.

I can't for the life of me get the shield on. I've put juice on the rings. I'm just at a loss.

Any hints, tips or tricks?

You probably already tried this, but are you putting it on with the hole side up?

Well I had an idea. Use the filler tool to help get it in there... Well it worked.. Kinda.

The top o ring is peaking out a bit. But, hey... I got it on there. Phew.

I don't use a drip shield with my HH357, but later tonight I'll give it a go and see what's going on. =)

Yep, hole side up to prevent leaking from overflow. You can make the holes bigger for an airier draw. The ones I got from EmpireMods don't have much effect on the draw so I never had to widen the holes. I've also had no problems getting them over atties. It fits easily over the HH357, but it's the only atty I don't use one on.

Hole side towards your drip tip so your air flow starts up and flows down through the bottom of the atomizer. Hole side up will prevent juice from leaking out of the air hole which would happen if it were near the bottom of the atomizer. As far as tight draw goes, every now and then I take the end of a small paper clip and just slip it in the air hole in case there is some dreck or something in there.

Got (*&^*&^%* off. And removed it.

Yep...
I threw away a couple if cheap import shields. (Wouldn't fit)
Empire Mods shields fit great though....

Same here, I bought my first ones from Empire and worked and fit great. Ordered a few extra from China made cheepo's and wouldn't fit and didn't looks as nice. Empire for the win.
