Drip tips really only make a difference when you move to rba's and start super sub ohms. Reason being your RBA gets super hot and so does your drip tip so the material it's made of plays a role as well as air flow. You have your wide bore tips which give you a bigger draw IMO, but then you now have your true wide bore tops such as the Chuff Enuff drip tops. VAPE ON!

Are there any benefits to different style drip tips for clearomizer tanks?

I think those who pursue "cloud chasing" like the big ol "wide bore" kind because they get more vapor, thus can exhale more vapor, bigger clouds

I personally like the real skinny ones, because they're closer to the feel of a real cigarette, but they also have to be swabbed out a lot or they cause gurgle, from condensation build-up running down into the chimney.

I don't care much for most metal ones, though I have a couple that I really like -- no idea why a gun-metal tip seems to retain its warmth, whereas a chrome one always feels uncomfortably cold. Aluminum ones can get uncomfortably hot.

Glass/ceramic and plastic break easily, if you're prone to dropping your mods (I am!).

Other than those considerations... yes, aesthetics. I think the tips that come on kayfuns are ugly as sin, they look like baby-bottle nipples. The newer v2 kayfuns are better looking, but I don't know how they vape; I hear they're better.

my preferred ones or the plastic Derlin ones Iv'e got a pink and a black one (basically it's a color coding for what the heck juice I've got in which tank too they run together, you should try juggling 8 V2s and keep straight what's in 'em all!! :p )

it's a subjective thing, but he's right firstly not to burn your lips...I had one pop off on the motorcycle and you don't really have to have a drip tip, you can just suck on the hole...hope you've got some carmex for afterwards though...you'll need it (found out the hard way):glare: *lol*
