I got mine from MVS and it was $34.45 Total with Priority Mail. I got it in 3 Days.

Kangertech Drip box Starter Kit

I have had it for about 20 Minutes. And I can see already that the Squonk Door is going to be an Issue. It comes off Way to Easy.
Not the best way to secure it, but it hasn't popped off yet....

Yeah... A Hinged Magnet Door would be Better. Or a Screw In type like the Battery Door.

I'm just not sure how Pocket, Bag or Purse Friendly this Door is going to be? I think there was another Member who Lost theirs shorty after receiving theirs. Gonna have to keep my eye on things when I'm Out n About.

Aside from the Squonk Door, I'm Basically liking it so far. It does Squonk and it Hasn't Leaked.

The Air Slots are Huge. Air for Days if you want it. But they are a Tad High. Might have to set a date with Mr. Dremel and shorten the rda Barrel.

And there is No 3rd Slot in the Top Cap for doing a Single Coil setup. Once again, Mr. Dremel might need to show the Cap his Love.

Yeah... What with California's 2015 Special Session Legislations and the looming FDA Apocalypse, I have been rounding out my Jump Bag. Coupled with the continued promises of Cookies kinda pushed me over the Edge.

That, and I think I reached RTA Nirvana with a cut down SXK Wine RTA.

The DripBox caught my eye because it was an AIO "Kit" at a price that if it Wasn't where I wanted to be, I could PIF it for the Karma points.

It's really Not a bad setup. And it kinda Reminds me of things from the 2011 ~ 2012 era. Works as an initial release But has a List of Improvements that will probably be implemented in a v2 release.

I filled a 3rd Slot in the Top Cap last night. Tricky because the Existing slots in the Top Cap/Barrel are So Large. Running a Single Coil in it right now and the Flavor is Better.

Not as good as my Stumpy rda. But the plan was to Mod the Stumpy to make it a Bottom Feeder if the DripBox was doable.

I have alternating my Derringer and my RM 2 with the new Drip Box. Both work great and I like them for different reasons. Still not wild about the factory atty, but I had no problem building a single coil on it. I am hoping that Kanger sees they may have hit on something and that there will indeed be other versions coming.

Yeah... I think Kanger has a Potential Hit on their hands. I just think a little Fine Tuning is needed.

---

Hey where did you get a BF Derringer? Or did you make it? If so, where did you get the BF Pin for it? The Stumpy and the Derringer are supposed to perform Very Similar. And I Really Like the Stumpy.

---

What is an RM 2 ?

Both came from Reo's Mods when I picked up an LP Grand from Rob. He carries a great selection of BF attys including the Chalice III but that's $140.00 bucks.
Google Reo's Mods The Derringer is actually a clone. He calls it Reomizer 8.0

That's not a bad plan. Lotta BF people LOVE their Stumpies.

I know I do. And it is a Perfect design (Flat Deck) to be BF mod-ed.

---

I did a slight Lower Ohm build and did some Fine Tuning on the Single Coil Slot on my Dripbox. I must say that it is Hitting pretty Good.

Also put a piece of 30ga SS Wire under the Barrel O-Ring to snug it up.

Well, once the Drip-Box gets you converted to bottom-feeding, let us know and we'll show you where to get some apocalypse-suitable mods, 'cause I don't think the Drip-Box is. IMO, nothing with electronics in it is, unless you have plenty of spare boards and the ability to replace 'em.

The modified Vapage bottle is holding up much better than the fancy Italian bottle. No runs, burps, or farts so far. The Vapage bottle will outlast my preferred battery change interval with HG2's but of course because of the electronics voltage drop the battery doesn't go as long as a good mechanical. Then again it doesn't cost over 10 times as much either so no big loss if it gets dropped or run over. :D

A CC would certainly not be a bad choice, but if that wasn't in the budget, one could do a lot worse than a REO Grand.

Or for the very budget friendly, a REO Grand clone.

Either will need contact and bottle upgrades...

And will last being run over by a chevy...

So if your budget is that fit and finish aren't the highest of priorities... and your willing to grind the catch cup down...

You sure like pushing the clone, don't you? Why is that? Your authentic may have needed an upgrade, but mine and quite a few others hasn't..... Just fyi....

Your point?

Just because you're okay with sub par doesn't mean you couldn't use an upgrade.

I bet if Rob offered them, there'd be a line out the door... for a reason... and I know for a fact you'd be right there with them.

You got sub ohm contacts upgraded on yours, don't ya?

Let's not forget you're starting this authentic REO pitty party in a $30 mod thread.

So there's bound to be folks with a $30 budget looking.

What's the authentic going to do for them? Nothing........

And what are you going to do about that? Nothing........

Swapped batteries in the dripbox and it was just dead all of a sudden, tried another and still nothing. Looked inside and saw this:

I'm guessing this o-ring goes around the positive contact but not sure how to get it back on there. Tried pushing it back on with a knife handle but it just fell out. Any ideas what its there for?

Mine do have the upgraded contacts in them, thats probably because both that I have weren't purchased until after the upgrades came out... I wasn't, nor am not, trying to or starting any kind of pity party... Just asked a question. No reason to take it to that level. Doesn't matter what thread I ask the question in!!!! You having another bad day?

Yikes. That Don't Look Good.

I think before I did Anything, I would contact the vendor where you got your DripBox and see if it is Returnable.
