I just got my Dripbox in the mail today! I've been wanting to try a squonker for some time, but even low end squonkers are fairly pricey, so this was a perfect way to give 'em a go. I haven't tried it just yet, the squonk bottle had a very funky, plasticky smell to it so had to wash it out real good and letting it soak for a bit. I'm looking forward to trying this little guy later tonight.

I wish we wouldn't have to mod the thing.:(
Oh well, maybe version 2 or 3 does it right.

Its kinda Cool to take something and Fine Tune it to the Way that Works Best for what Someone is Looking for. And I kinda Smile when I look at my Cut-Down RDA Sleeve and Custom 3rd Slot / Upside Down Drip Tip.

The Flavor is So Much better then what it was Out of the Box.

But I agree. Kanger could have put a Little More thought into a Design that wasn't just geared towards Cloud Production.

I mean, How hard would it have been for Kanger to Include a 3rd Slot in the Top Cap? And/Or made the Top Cap with a 510 Drip Tip Adapter for those who want to use their own Drip Tips?

But then they couldn't have sold those as seperate atties later!
Still imo this kit is second (or third if one counts Kangers cartos) of Kanger products I find worthy of buying, the original K-Box beign another.

The way I looked at it, for $34.45 delivered to my door in 3 day (Thank You MVS) if the the RDA was a Complete POS, and was Relegated to the Bone Yard Vape Drawer, I would still be Happy. And if the RDA worked, even just OK, it was like a Bonus.

I think for someone wanting to Try Squonking, and who is More into Vapor than Flavor, the DripBox is a Great Kit. For people more into Flavor and those who like running Single Coils, the RDA is OK. Nothing to write home about.

For the Price though, I would Recommend it.

OK... (Last One)

I took a #56 Drill (.0465") and opened up the e-Liquid Inlet Holes in the RDA Base.

It now Squonks easier with High VG e-Liquids.

Excellent. I was wondering if this was doable. I got a #56 drill bit. Back to the shop I go. :)
The difference is VERY noticeable. May even feed juice easier than my "gdeal" setups. NICE! :D

Yep... The Bigger Holes sure make a Difference.

BTW - To anyone wondering about why I used a #56 Drill instead of a 3/64" it was because I had a Package of New #56 Drills in one of the drawers of my Tool Chest. And didn't have a Decent 3/64" Drill laying around.

BTW2 - Great Macro Shot of the SubDrip Base Johnny. The Image is So Clear I could do a Thread Count for the fabric it is Sitting On.

Some great ingenuity in this thread. Take note, Kanger. :thumb:

This is what the ECF used to be Like. It was Magical. And Innovation ran Wild.

Today, so much of the Hardware works Pretty Well right out of the box. But it Wasn't always like that.

It used to be that OEM's would release their Products to the masses and the ECF "Beta Testers" would take them back to their Garages and Work Benches to make the Improvements. It was hard to find a Thread where someone wasn't Filing a Slot Wider for Better Wicking. Or Swapping an O-Ring to keep something from Leaking.

I remember the Thread where someone got the Idea of using a Polypropylene BD Syringe to replace the Cracking Polycarbonate CE2's. Giving rise to a Functional "Clearo". Or someone pondering if a Cotton Ball could be used as a Wick? Or reading about the a Crazy Idea of wrapping a Thin Wire around a Thicker Wire and then Honoring the 2nd Best Guitar player of all time with its name.

The Old forum software used to show how many Guests were currently Viewing a Thread. And I can Guarantee that for a Thread like this, one of those Guests is Kanger.

I was going to do everything JD and ZM did to the stock RDA and then realized I have plethora of BF'd atty's. Given the design of the stock RDA even with all the modifications I didn't feel it worth the effort. So I just screwed on a different atty. If it's all I had then absolutely worth the effort.

Nice work anyway guys...
