Is there a dripping thread I can refer to that I am not seeing?

I'm a noob to dripping, but it's not rocket science. A few days ago I busted out an old 510 atomizer which was only used very little with cartridges over a year ago. Youtube informed me how to debridge the thing and I was on my way. I dripped a few drops, let it settle then dropped a couple more. I can get decent vapor production, not great but livable. My issue is there is little to no flavor coming out of this thing. I have no problem tasting when the atty gets a bit dry. I jump back and forth between the atomzier and my tanked carto to verify that I can taste plenty, using the same flavor, with the cartotank so I know my taste buds are alive and well. There's likely countless threads that address this issue which I cannot find. Any help would be appreciated.

The atty is 1.9 ohms and says MVS so it must be My Vapor Store branded if that helps. I'm using my Provari with voltage as low as 3.2 up to 4.4 volts. Maybe it doesn't apply but I don't typically like to vape my cartos over 10 watts so I haven't attempted to with my atty. Aside from that I think even 10 watts may be too much with the spitting of juice that I get at that level.
edit: speaking of spitting - in the hopes I can find a way to enjoy dripping as much as I think i should - is there anywhere to get longer drip tips or those donut tips which I assume were designed to keep the atty-spat juice out of my mouth.

Sounds like a SR resistance atomizer (like what came in many starter kits) on a low voltage PV.
Those old 2.8 ohm atties need about 4.7v to work properly (8 watts)

While it's true that given the same atty, a low voltage PV will produce less heat at the coil than a PV running at a higher voltage, the atty will still heat up and work properly at a lower voltage. It sounds like you're putting your own preferences into the definition of an atty working properly. Some people prefer a cooler vape and would not enjoy vaping at 8 watts. Some juices would taste "burned" at that wattage.

Budsalinger, you might try another atty. It sounds like the one you have might be a dud or is past its life span.

I hope that's the case, but I wonder. This thing is mad old but from a usage standpoint it is less than a week old. Back when i got it for my cartridges, which I can't believe I ever liked, I didn't like this type because they didn't hold enough juice so i only used this one for less than a day before it took a year-long nap. Still... I've ordered and am waiting for about 5 attys from 3 sites in various ohms. I wish myself luck. I really want to like these so i can get a vv bottom feeder and call it a day. Maybe even a vw bottom feeder once those DNAs by Evolv have been circulating a while.

It's not you. It's the atty. I drip exclusively and yeah it's the atty. Trust yer provari as to what ohms it says yer atty is and adjust voltage accordingly. Take that atty and throw it away! Just kiddin'. fill the atty up with juice and let it set for 20 mins. dump the juice, blow it out add 4 drops and try it again. As far as tips; Super T Mfg has an elegant long stainless tip that is 2 inches long! They also have other SS tips that have the wide mouth. It'll take you awhile to figure out how much juice to use to get the best vape. After you change out that crappy atty for a good one the fun begins all over again. Best atty's? JOYETECH 510 or 306, Ikenvape (any), amps, volts, and resistance are all up to you. Don't drip and drive.

I love 3 ohm Cisco atties at 5v, and they produce loads of vapor and great flavor and a real nice draw to them. Cartomizers to me have such an airy draw and filtered flavor to them. Definitely get yourself a good attie before you decide you don't like them :) and I bet you will like them if you find the right one. As far as the Provari, I just had a strange thing happen to me tonight. I got 4 new 3 ohm atties in the mail and they wouldn't fire on my Provari. When I ckd them they were showing they were 1.3 ohms? All 4 of them. They wouldn't even fire on my Provari. But once I took out the battery I was using all day and put a new battery in and I guess it somehow restarted the chip in the Provari maybe, now they are reading at 3 ohms and vaping fine. Very strange and first time that's happened to me. Has anyone else had that with their Provari? I need to ask that question in the Provari section in here.

I have a 1.5 ohm Cisco 306 that's labeled as a 3.0 ohm. Thankfully, I use a Darwin so it adjusted my voltage down automatically. Can't imagine how fast that atty would have blown if I put it on a straight 5 or 6 volt PV.
