Dropped My iPro / Connection Issue HELP!

Greetings All!

I dropped my iPro and it hit atty first. Now if I tighten the atty all the way it wont fire up. I tried a different atty but got the same results. I backed out the Philips screw the atty contacts 1/8 of a turn and it "seems" to be working a little better.

Any suggestions? Anyone know what the Philips screw is designed to do?

The screw is the contact and is part of the assembly to the the positive wire under the top cap. It's not really for adjusting, if you loosen it too much you may disconnect the wire underneath.

Hang in there and hopefully someone will come along with better advice for you. Do you have any adapters you can try?

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling the screw was better left tightened, glad I asked. Good idea on the adapter. I have one at the house so I'll give it a try after work today.

The screw should be snug but not super tight. I'm sorry you're having problems, but I can promise you'll have some better suggestions later in the day as more folks check the forums

SNug the screw down and try it again , there is an internal screw as well , and it may have come loose ?? try the top one first. we WILL get you sorted out .

I tried that yesterday but it didn't help. I'll give it another go when I get home. How do I access the internal screw?

I found "Replacing the top cap on the Buzz". Is this the sticky you are referring to? So the iPro and Buzz are the same?

For the most part the ipro and Buzz pro are the same in regard to caps. The Ipro may require a little screwdriver to stick into the hole on the top cap to get the cap loose. Other than that the pic tutorial I posted should get you through it

Make sure the caps are tight too as well as the screw on the side. Also try changing the batteries and see if that helps.

Just a tool hole to remove the top cap ! I forgot about that part SORRY !

Mike, I haven't seen the IPro first hand. Could a drop on it's head with an atty on it depress the center connection?

I dont think so Bov. Just now playing with the Ipro for the first time.

Hopefully its just the inner screw. I know the one on my BP comes loose every once in a while.

Nod Rup, I took the top cap off my BP for the first time last week and my inner screw was about to fall out. But then, I'm used to having a screw loose

Nice! I was hoping thats what it was. Thats usually the first thing to check if its acting odd or not hitting right. I know mine comes loose from over tightening cartos....

Just a tool hole to remove the top cap ! I forgot about that part SORRY !

I've been wondering about the top cap on the IP. Didn't think we could change em ourselves. Now that I know what the hole is for I just might have to order a 801 cap for my ip ...
