This is driving me nuts. Do I have to squonk every time before I take a hit? Running a .6 ohm coil with 2mm ecowool. I can't take much more of the dry hits. I lost the o-ring between the well and the reomizer, so I don't know if that has anything to do with this.

What I've been trying is squeezing the bottle and holding for a few seconds, at least that's what I thought I read.

Pull the drip tip and watch as you squonk the juice needs go at least halfway up around the coil and wick. for me that is a good 3 second press on a full bottle and 5 or more for a half and lower.

I've found the ceramic readyXwick wicks and performs much better than ekowool. When I was using ekowool I also found there were two types and I preferred the hollow core.

if yr running out of juice during a hit, you may need a longer wick than you might be using.
Check yr coil legs, they may be hot spotting, those are the nastiest 'dry hits' for me. Take cap off, squonk, fire as long as you would normally take a draw, look. If the legs are glowing, that's what's happening.
Pics please!

1 Day old. Gotta love Bobas Bounty. Looks horrible. Even have it diluted with Stevia drops

If it was me I'd try fit another wrap or two. If you went with a smaller diameter coil you could still get the same ohms you want. Sometimes I wonder if it's a surface area thing. For me six wraps is a minimum regardless what I'm wrapping. Five doesn't keep up with wicking it seems, six will do a nice long wet lung hit.
Everyone is different though, I'm far from an authority.

I'm new to Reo's/BF's, and using both CC and KGD wicks in mine. The jooses I am running right now don't like sub ohm for the best flavor, so have a 1.0 in the Mini and 1.8 in the LP Grand. These set ups are so efficient that I still get the clouds, and great flavor. The CC wicks faster than KGD, so with my long lung hits I have to squonk more when using it.

2 things:

Drill the RM2 topcap to 1/16" to start. (it starts life at 3/64" and that's too tight for subOhming imo). It's chromed brass, so it's easy to make the hole a little bigger.

If you're a silica wick user (and it's all i use because a) i'm lazy and b) i haven't time to mess about changing wicks daily, then give the ready wick a bash. It's expensive, but you need less than an inch per coil.

Hey boss I'm just curious what color/finish is you're Reo? It looks like polished aluminum? Can you post a full on view of it..... .. I'm looking to get one but can't decide on color or finish?

Oh and if you never want to experience any wicking problems get Koh Gen Do....... it is unbelievably awesome!!!! I've tried.... Quite a few variants ... Organic cotton, rayon, silica.... KGD is the best in every way!
